After watching Netflix’s new number one movie Thunder Force, we couldn’t help but wonder if Octavia Spencer (Emily) and Melissa McCarthy (Lydia) are as relatable in person as they are on our TV screens.

That’s why we turned to Taylor Mosby, who starred alongside the iconic duo in Thunder Force. Since she played Tracy (the daughter of Spencer’s character), the teenager revealed that she developed a close-knit relationship with her on-screen mom.

“Working with Ms. Octavia was an absolute dream of an experience. She is a living legend and so humble,” she told PureWow. “She is very sweet and very down-to-earth, all while cracking jokes in between takes with everyone on set. She works very swiftly and can easily understand the tone of a scene after just one rehearsal, which was astonishing to watch.”

Mosby also thanked Spencer for expanding her acting chops, adding, “She actually helped me find my rhythm while we were working and gave me some key advice that I will be taking with me throughout my entire acting career. As starstruck as I was (and still am), she made me feel welcome to be myself at all times around her.”

As for McCarthy, Mosby confirmed that she’s just as funny in person as she is on screen. “Ms. Melissa is a force of energy that lights up the entire room. She quickly made both the cast and crew feel like a family after just a few weeks by keeping everyone included in the conversations off camera,” she said. “She also gave everyone a nickname, which was pretty cool; I had never seen that before but everyone on set loved it.”

Mosby continued, “She has a real strong boss energy about her and that makes her even cooler!”

We salute you, Thunder Force.
