Thunderstorms Bring Heavy Rain, 'Frequent' Lightning to Reno

Thunderstorms moved through Reno, Nevada, on Monday, August 17, bringing “heavy” rainfall and “frequent” lightning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The NWS said the storms were also expected to bring wind gusts up to 50 mph and small hail. Blowing dust and reduced visibility were also forecast.

The weather service said thunderstorms were predicted to continue throughout the region on Tuesday.
