Here are Thursday's high school sports results for the Wausau and Stevens Point area

SOFTBALL

Marshfield 6, Wisconsin Rapids 5

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - Madison Voss was 3-for-4, while Courtney Donahue and Shylah Brogan had two hits each as the Tigers downed the Red Raiders.

Kendall Ziegahn homered and drove in four runs to lead Wisconsin Rapids.

Donahue pitched a complete game for the win. She allowed seven hits and struck out seven.

Stevens Point 10, Wausau West 0

WAUSAU - The Panthers took charge with three runs in the second, four in the fourth, one in the fifth and two in the sixth to earn the Wisconsin Valley Conference win.

Brooke Swiecki and Maddy Miklesh were both 2-for-4 with two RBI, while Zoe Fink was 2-for-4 to power SPASH.

Maren Sauvageau picked up the win, pitching five innings, allowing two hits, three walks and striking out five.

Pacelli 16, Tri-County 0

STEVENS POINT - An 11-run first inning proved to be the difference as the Cardinals rolled to the CWC victory.

Ava Tess had the hot bat for Pacelli, going 3-for-3 with three RBI, while Hannah Trzinski, Kaylin Yenter and Jayden Hytry each had two hits. Yenter and Hytry had two RBI apiece

Skylar Wade had Tri-County’s lone hit.

Iola-Scandinavia 14, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 1

WITTENBERG - The Thunderbirds scored five times in the first inning and cruised from there.

Pitcher Maddie Much helped herself offensively with four hits, including an RBI double. Myah Heschke and Makayla Much each had three hits. Heschke had two doubles and four RBI, while Much drove in two runs. Alexa Christoph and Jaelyn Sivertson each had two hits.

Maddie Much pitched all five innings, allowing one walk while striking out four batters for the win.

Almond-Bancroft 12, Rosholt 1

ALMOND - The Eagles turned 15 hits into 12 runs in their win over the Hornets.

Olivia Baumgartner pitched a complete game for Almond-Bancroft, allowing one run on two hits while striking out 11.

Jillian Newby went 4-for-4 at the plate with Claire Turzinski, Lexie Dernbach, Raegen Omernik and Messina Meddaugh each having multiple-hit games.

Morgan Kluck took the loss for Rosholt.

Mosinee 8, Lakeland 7

MINOCQUA - Mosinee rallied for two runs in the seventh to pull out the Great Northern Conference win.

Adeline Strejc allowed just three earned runs in the circle, while going 2-for-4 with three RBI at the plate to pace Mosinee. Also banging out two hits each for Mosinee were Mikah Keller and Alanna Bembenek.

Saylor Timmerman had three hits to lead Lakeland.

Auburndale 5, Stratford 2

STRATFORD - The Eagles scored four runs in the fourth inning to overcome a 2-0 deficit in their win over the Tigers.

Erin Griesbach led Auburndale with three hits. Samantha Stanton and Ashlyn Grimm both had two hits. Grimm also had two RBI.

Meg Wiese led Stratford with two hits.

Grimm got the win for Auburndale, allowing two runs on five hits.

Laney Pankratz took the loss for Stratford.

Edgar 5, Newman Catholic 4

EDGAR - The Wildcats scored two runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to rally for the win over the Cardinals.

Kendalyn Dahlke scored three runs for Edgar, including the winning run in the sixth inning. Taylor Lemmer drove in two runs for Edgar.

Paige Guld had three hits for Newman Catholic.

Phillips 7, Athens 3

ATHENS - The Loggers scored four runs in the sixth and three in the seventh to overcome a 3-0 deficit in the win over the Bluejays.

Paige Edwards drove in two runs for Phillips.

Siarra Hart and Sophia Coker both had two hits for Athens.

Kendall Weik got the win for Phillips, giving up three runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out nine.

Hart took the loss for Athens.

BASEBALL

Wausau West 5, Stevens Point 2

WAUSAU - The Warriors scored four times in the first and once in the fourth before holding off the Panthers.

Jesse Osness was 3-for-3 and drove in two runs for Wausau West. Bryce Heil also drove in three runs, and Ethan Graham had two hits.

Lucas Hager pitched a complete game for the win. He allowed five hits and struck out eight.

Benett Klish had two hits and Kaden Thauer drove in two runs for SPASH.

Amherst 11, Bonduel 1

BONDUEL - The Falcons overcame a 1-0 deficit after two innings with four runs in the third inning and then added three in the fourth and four in the fifth in the win over the Bears.

Wyatt Blaskowski got the win for Amherst, which improved to 8-0 in the conference and 14-0 overall. Blaskowski pitched five innings, allowed two hits and struck out five.

Ben Lee was 3-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored and four RBI for Amherst. Jake Hoffman was 3-for-4 with a home run.

Noah Weier was 2-for-2 with a double for Bonduel.

Pacelli 8, Pittsville 2

STEVENS POINT - The Cardinals scored three times in the first and fourth innings and held on for the CWC triumph.

Drew Kedrowicz was 4-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored, while Brock Birrenkott knocked in a pair of runs.

Logan Zickert powered the Pittsville attack with two RBI.

Stratford 9, Auburndale 2

STRATFORD - The Tigers broke open their game with the Eagles in the third inning with a seven-run rally.

Jack Tubbs and Braeden Schueller both had three hits for Stratford. Gavin Kirsch drove in two runs.

Camden Daul pitched a complete game, allowing two runs on two hits and one walk while striking out eight.

Ian Brown took the loss for Auburndale.

Abbotsford/Colby 13, Rib Lake 3

RIB LAKE - The Falcons blew open a close game with an eight-run sixth inning and three runs in the seventh to earn the Marawood Conference win.

Jaxon Polivka led Abby/Colby, going 4-for-5 with two RBI, while Payton Schreiber was 3-for-5 with a double and six RBI. Getting two hits each for the Falcons were Mateo Lopez and Evan Reis.

Athens 10, Phillips 0

ATHENS - Kody Lepak drove in three runs and Brooks Kraus and Ty Johnson both drove in two to lead the Bluejays to the win over the Loggers.

Kraus also had two hits, while Kyler Ellenbecker had a double and Cooper Diedrich a triple.

Kraus pitched 4⅔ innings to get the win.

Dawson Hauschild took the loss for Phillips.

Greenwood 7, Spencer 4

SPENCER - Greenwood scored all of its runs in the first four innings and never looked back.

Xander Hinker and Fletcher Bredlau had two hits apiece as Bredlau also drove in a pair of runs.

Kaiden Miller led the Rockets with two hits.

TRACK AND FIELD

Stratford Invitational

STRATFORD - Stratford won the boys meet with 149.5 points, with Auburndale second with 108.

Colby won the girls meet with 134.5 points, with Loyal right behind with 131.

In the boys meet, Terrance Roberson of Auburndale won the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :11.51 and :23.31, respectively. Roberson also won the long jump with a leap of 21-2.25.

Columbus Catholic’s Andrew Scheer took the two distance events, winning the 1,600 with a time of 4:47.90 and the 3,200 with a time of 10:37.82.

In the girls meet, Morgan Schnelle of Edgar took first in the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash with times of :13.16 and :27.32. Schnelle also won the 400 with a time of 1:03.53.

Stratford’s Jaidyn Wright won the long jump and triple jump with leaps of 16-6.5 and 34-4.5, respectively.

The final team standings in the boys meet were Stratford 149.5, Auburndale 108, Edgar 94, Colby 59, Owen-Withee 57.5, Athens 49, Columbus Catholic 45, Assumption 42, Pittsville 40, Spencer 23, and Loyal 13.

In the girls meet, it was Colby 134.5, Loyal 131, Edgar 102.25, Stratford 98.25, Pittsville 55, Auburndale 42.25, Athens 30, Assumption 29, Owen-Withee 27.75, Columbus Catholic 14, and Spencer 12.

Weyauwega-Fremont Invitational

WEYAUWEGA - Weyauwega-Fremont rolled to wins in both the girls meet with 254 points and the boys meet with 251 points.

In the girls meet, Gresham/Bowler (80), Tigerton (44), Port Edwards (43), Almond-Bancroft (28), Northland Lutheran (24) and Marion (6) followed.

In the boys meet, Gresham/Bowler had 80 points, Almond-Bancroft 44 and Port Edwards 42.

In the girls meet, Weyauwega-Fremont’s Emma Ziepke won the 400 (1:04.89) and the 800 (2:35.38). Teammate Lauren Feltz took the 100-meter hurdles (:18.19) and the 300-meter hurdles (:54.18). Abby Bartel won the pole valult (7-0) and the 3,200 (11:35.70).

Tigerton’s Elizabeth Robbins won the 200 (:28.73) and the triple jump (28-2).

In the boys meet, multiple individual event winners for Weyauwega-Fremont included Quinn Dittmann in the 100 (:11.47) and the 200 (:23.97), and Jordan Zastrow in the 110 hurdles (:21.15) and the 300 hurdles (:49.04).

Gresham/Bowler’s Emmitt Kietlinski won the triple jump (40-8.50), the high jump (6-3) and the long jump (18-4).

Waupaca Vic Tree Invitational

WAUPACA - Winneconne won the boys meet with 136.5 points, edging out New London which was second with 131 points.

They were followed in the standings by Marathon (118.5), Iola-Scandinavia (66), Manawa (65), Pacelli (64), Waupaca (49), Rosholt (40), Wittenberg-Birnamwood (24) and Tri-County (5).

Marathon won the girls meet with 144.5 points. Winneconne was second with 135 points. After that it was Manawa (107), Wittenberg-Birnamwood (82), New London (74), Rosholt (63), Tri-County (33.5), Pacelli (31), Iola-Scandinavia (15) and Waupaca (10).

The girls meet had Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Reese Rogowski win the 200 (:26.06) and the 400 (:58.71), as well as the long jump (16-7.75).

Rosholt’s Sophia Bablitch won the 800 (2:20.73) and the 1,600 (5:34.93).

In the boys meet, New London’s Kyle Wisniewski won the high jump with a height of 5-10, the long jump at 21-10 and the triple jump at 41-7.

Pacelli’s Adam Eiden won the 3,200 (10:45.46) and the 800 (2:03.69).
