Here are Thursday's high school sports results for the Oshkosh and Fond du Lac area

SOFTBALL

Kimberly 3, Oshkosh North 1

KIMBERLY - Megan McGinnis and Morgan Stevenson both hit home runs to lead the Papermakers to the win over the Spartans.

Molly De LaHunt had a pair of hits for Kimberly, which took the lead in the sixth inning.

Josie Hammen got the win for Kimberly, giving up one run on three hits.

Ashley Borawitz took the loss for Oshkosh North, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out 12.

Appleton East 6, Fond du Lac 2

FOND DU LAC - The Patriots pulled away from the Cardinals with two runs in the sixth and one in the seventh.

Clare Rettler, Gwen Hendrick and Halli Swick had two hits each for East, while Swick picked up the win in the circle, scattering eight hits, two earned runs and one walk while striking out four.

Susan Vokes was 3-for-3 and pitched the final three innings for the Cardinals, striking out six hitters.

North Fond du Lac 12, Omro 2

NORTH FOND DU LAC - The Orioles pounded out 12 hits in the five-inning win over the Foxes.

Natalie Miller had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in two runs. Kaitlyn Retzlaff also had three hits, including a double. Lucy Hughes drove in three runs and Kalista Ziemer had two RBI for the Orioles.

Natalie Miller picked up the win in the circle, striking out nine batters while allowing three hits and one earned run.

Winnebago Lutheran 3, Lomira 2

FOND DU LAC - The Vikings’ Anna Trewin hit a chopper betweeen third and short that couldn’t be handled to drive in Lindsey Nell with the winning run in the win over the Lions.

Natalee Boelk was the winning pitcher, allowing two runs while striking out eight.

Amber Johnson, Alea Anhalt and Nell each had two hits for WLA.

Nora Buske had two doubles for Lomira.

Jordan Hannam, who had two singles, took the loss for Lomira.

Winneconne 4, Plymouth 2

WINNECONNE - Norah Kutnink and Macey Clark were 2-for-3 with Clark driving in a pair of runs as the Wolves overcame an early 2-0 deficit to post the ECC win.

Clark picked up the win, allowing two unearned runs on just three hits and one walk, while striking out 13.

Evelyn Flunker had the Panthers’ only RBI.

BASEBALL

Lomira 14, Winnebago Lutheran 8

FOND DU LAC - Josh Steger pitched five innings and struck out nine batters to earn the win for the Lions.

Logan Neitzel had three hits and drew two walks. Turner Wagoner had two hits, including a home run, while Steger, Ethan Braeger and Talan Luedtke also chipped in with two hits each.

Lomira improves to 6-1 in the Flyway Conference and 9-1 overall.

Oshkosh North 5, Oshkosh West 2

OSHKOSH - Max Bittner improved his pitching record to 3-1 with the win and Jeramiah Housworth got the save for the Spartans in the win over the Wildcats.

Housworth also had two RBI, and Carson Steinbeck had two hits for North.

Kimberly 12, Fond du Lac 1

FOND DU LAC - The Papermakers scored 12 runs over the final four innings after the game was tied 0-0 after three innings.

Brayden Deering pitched a complete game and allowed two hits. He walked one and struck out eight to get the victory.

Brandon Carew had a double and drove in five runs. Brady Koester had three hits, including a double, and had two RBI. Kale Twombly added two RBI for Kimberly, Carson Peeters hit a solo home run, and Josh Bailey had two hits and an RBI.

Fond du Lac Sam Ernst had an RBI double.

Campbellsport 18, Mayville 2

MAYVILLE - Jalen Gellings was 4-for-4 with a home run and two doubles, and Mitch McCarty had a home run and a triple as the Cougars crushed the Cardinals in Flyway Conference action.

Also powering Campbellsport were Cullen Beisbier with three hits, including a double, and Garrett Roehl and Cole Kaehne, each with three hits.

Andrew Thom had a double and a walk for Mayville.

Central Wisconsin Christian 1-9, Pardeeville 0-0

WAUPUN - Brody Buteyn and Matthew Palmer combined to blank the Bulldogs in both ends of a doubleheader.

Buteyn allowed just two hits and three walks, while striking out one in the opener. Palmer doubled, stole one base and scored the only run in Game 1.

In the nightcap, the Crusaders romped as Palmer went five innings, scattering five hits and one walk, while striking out four.

Offensively, CWC was led by Kaden Swann, who was 3-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and one stolen base. Palmer was 2-for-4 with a run and two stolen bases.

GIRLS SOCCER

Winnebago Lutheran 5, Wayland Academy 0

FOND DU LAC - The Vikings scored four goals in the first half in the win.

Leah Theisen, Mackenzie Rockow, Ava Lorenz and Alix Jahnke scored in the first half. Lorenz added a goal in the second half. Ella Biertzer, Siri Kuske, Olivia Schwefel and Rockow had assists.

Avery Jahnke had one save in goal for WLA.

TRACK AND FIELD

Berlin Invitational

BERLIN - Berlin took home the title in the girls meet with 182 points, while Ripon captured the boys title with 155 points.

Laconia (183), Ripon (94), Markesan (91), Winnebago Lutheran (74), Wautoma (60), North Fond du Lac (54) and Princeton/Green Lake (31) followed in the girls meet.

In the boys meet, Berlin (147.5), Winnebago Lutheran (105), Markesan (78), Princeton/Green Lake (64.5), North Fond du Lac (52), Laconia (50) and Wautoma (36) followed Ripon.

In the girls meet, Ripon’s Celina Lopez won the 100 meters (:12.81), the 200 meters (:26.36), the long jump (17-1.5) and the triple jump (36-2).

Berlin’s Callie Kurczek won the 1,600 with a time of 6:00.30 and the 3,200 with a time of 13:15.85.

In the boys meet, Berlin’s Devin Derleth won the 100 (:11.48), the 200 (:23.24) and the triple jump (42-2).

Ripon’s Noah Hanson won the shot put (44-10) and the discus (132-9).

Seymour Invitational

SEYMOUR - West De Pere won the team titles in the girls and boys large school divisions with 192.50 and 184 points, respectively, while Kiel took the girls and boys titles in the small school competition with 206 and 213 points, respectively.

In the boys meet, Oshkosh North’s Devin Williams picked up a pair of wins, taking the 200-meter dash (:22.05) and the 400-meter dash (:50.13).

Langdon Nordgaard of West De Pere took first in the triple jump (44-1.25) and the 110-meter hurdles (:16.30).

Hortonville’s Ben Smith won the weight events. He took the discus with a throw of 166-0 and the shot put with a put of 54-11.75.

In the girls meet, Ryan Guest of Appleton North won the long jump with a jump of 16-3.5 and the triple jump with a jump of 35.2.5.

In the large school girls meet, following West De Pere was Appleton North (164.50), Pulaski (106), Hortonville (102), Ashwaubenon (49), Oshkosh North (23), Menasha (20) and Green Bay East (11).

In the large school boys meet, Hortonville (111) was second to West De Pere followed by Appleton North (101), Oshkosh North (90), Ashwaubenon (79), Pulaski (59), Menasha (34) and Green Bay East (22).

In the small school girls meet, Bonduel (102.50) was second to Kiel followed by Denmark (82), Seymour (76.5), Algoma (57), Sevastopol (50) and Clintonville (33).

In the small school boys, Seymour (119) was a distant second to Kiel with Denmark (99), Clintonville (90), Bonduel (69), Sevastopol (21) and Algoma (9) following.

Waupaca Vic Tree Invitational

WAUPACA - Winneconne won the boys meet with 136.5 points, edging out New London which was second with 131 points.

They were followed in the standings by Marathon (118.5), Iola-Scandinavia (66), Manawa (65), Pacelli (64), Waupaca (49), Rosholt (40), Wittenberg-Birnamwood (24) and Tri-County (5).

Marathon won the girls meet with 144.5 points. Winneconne was second with 135 points. After that it was Manawa (107), Wittenberg-Birnamwood (82), New London (74), Rosholt (63), Tri-County (33.5), Pacelli (31), Iola-Scandinavia (15) and Waupaca (10).

The girls meet had Wittenberg-Birnamwood’s Reese Rogowski win the 200 (:26.06) and the 400 (:58.71), as well as the long jump (16-7.75).

Rosholt’s Sophia Bablitch won the 800 (2:20.73) and the 1,600 (5:34.93).

In the boys meet, New London’s Kyle Wisniewski won the high jump with a height of 5-10, the long jump at 21-10 and the triple jump at 41-7.

Pacelli’s Adam Eiden won the 3,200 (10:45.46) and the 800 (2:03.69).
