Here are Thursday's high school sports results for the Appleton area

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Neenah 3, Appleton West 0

APPLETON - The Rockets beat the Terrors 25-13, 28-26, 25-16.

Carly Stamm and Claudia Merizon both had six kills to lead Neenah. Marissa Corso had five kills. Jenna Lawatsch had a team-leading 15 digs, Merizon had 14 digs and Merizon also had 11 assists. Leia Kersten added eight assists and five digs, and Elizabeth Oldenburg had eight digs and four aces for the Rockets.

“Both teams played incredibly well in a hot and humid gym. The two teams gave all their energy and never relented,” Neenah coach Emily Bennett said. “Really impressed by West’s scrappiness and fight.”

Audrey Rosenbaum had nine kills for the Terrors. Siena Busalacchi had six blocks and two aces, Claire Crawford had 16 assists and Montanna Sykora had 10 digs.

Appleton North 3, Oshkosh North 0

APPLETON - The Lightning breezed to a 25-7, 25-3, 25-4 Fox Valley Association win.

Statistical leaders for Appleton North were Elise Checkalski with nine digs, Maggie Hahnke with two kills, 10 assists and two aces, Ella Weber with 12 assists and 10 aces, Ella Demetrician with seven kills, Teegan Charapata with four aces and Olivia Lasee with six kills.

“Our girls came out and served fantastic tonight,” Lightning coach Steve Scheuerell said. “They executed well and played disciplined on defense.”

Kimberly 3, Appleton East 0

APPLETON - The Papermakers swept the Patriots 25-23, 25-18, 25-14 in a Fox Valley Association match.

Katie Schulz had 21 kills, Macy Herman had 37 assists and Ava Rank had 16 digs for Kimberly.

“We were down a couple players and all of our girls rallied around and played well in all three sets,” Kimberly coach Nate Leitermann said. “Appleton East is a very scrappy, high energy team, and they made us earn the victory.”

Fox Valley Lutheran 3, Wrightstown 0

APPLETON - The Foxes defeated the Tigers 25-7, 25-8, 25-11 in a North Eastern Conference match.

Fox Valley Lutheran was led by Annaliese Patchett with 13 kills. Ava Patchett had 19 assists, while Savanna Charron had 17 asssists. Kennedy Schmitz led FVL with 22 digs, Emma Nilson had eight kills and Kate Henze had seven kills.

Xavier 3, Green Bay East 0

GREEN BAY - The Hawks earned a 25-7, 25-10, 25-7 win over the Red Devils.

Mariah Potter led Xavier with 20 assists and had four aces. Ali Tylinski had nine kills, Belle Shea had six digs, Jena Bunks had nine aces, Halle Vande Hey had seven kills, and Madison Daley had three aces, four kills, five assists and five digs.

St. Mary Catholic 3, Kohler 0

FOX CROSSING - The Zephyrs rolled to a 25-12, 25-14, 25-5 win over the Blue Bombers.

Leading the Zephyrs were Lauren Fischer with 10 kills, Kate Nackers with seven kills and two blocks, and Stella Virlee with 14 assists and six aces.

Leaders for the Blue Bombers were Dhanvi Kanade and Isabel Wichman, both with 11 digs.

Manitowoc Lutheran 3, Hilbert 2

HILBERT - The Lancers defeated the Wolves 20-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Kaylie Hernke led Hilbert with 15 kills and added four blocks and eight digs. Cady Kuhn added 15 assists and five aces, and Aubree Diedrich had 12 digs.

Oconto Falls 3, Little Chute 1

OCONTO FALLS - The Panthers beat the Mustangs 25-19, 20-25, 25-19, 25-19 in a North Eastern Conference matchup.

Amber Otto had 18 kills and six service aces, and Brailyn St. Louis had 13 kills for Oconto Falls. Hanna Krejcarek had 25 assists and five aces, and Kyndra Staidl had 19 digs.

BOYS SOCCER

Kimberly 2, Oshkosh North 0

KIMBERLY - Alex Helbing scored in the 39th minute off a pass from Jordan Dietzler and Jose Miranda scored in the 73rd minute off a pass from Carson Piette to give the Papermakers a shutout victory over the Spartans.

Cooper Hoffman had four saves for Kimberly to earn the clean sheet.

Kyle Gillingham had 10 saves for Oshkosh North.

Shawano 6, New London 0

NEW LONDON - The Hawks got goals from six players in the win over the Bulldogs.

Shawano’s goal scorers were Warner Beyer, Chad Norton, Drake Herm, Braxton Hetzer, Tucker Pyatskowit and Derek Minch.

Beyer had two assists for Shawano, while Julian Perez, Herm and Erik Ainsworth each had one assist.

Brandon Reed had six saves for Shawano.

Pulaski 5, Waupaca 3

WAUPACA - The Red Raiders built a 3-1 first-half lead and kept the Comets at bay the rest of the way.

Ryan Drafz opened the scoring at the seven-minute mark before Austin Decker made it 2-0 at the 16-minute mark.

Michael Wennesberg scored off an assist from Ryan Mace at the 17-minute mark to get Waupaca on the board.

Corbin Tackmier closed out the first-half scoring with a goal at the 21-minute mark for Pulaski.

Waupaca’s Brandon Young closed the gap to 3-2, before Drafz and Decker both scored goals for the Red Raiders. Hayden Burkel assisted on the Decker goal.

Michael Wennesberg closed out the scoring for the Comets.

Pulaski’s Mason Baker made two saves, while Zack Mondello had six for Waupaca.
