WAUSAU - The Tigers swept the Lumberjacks 25-15, 25-10, 25-12 to finish the Wisconsin Valley Conference season with a 12-0 record and 36-0 in sets. The last time that was done was in 1999.

“This team joined a very elite 1999 team by ending their season 12-0 and never dropping a set in conference play,” Marshfield coach Dawn Sadowska said. “This team is so talented and has so much fun together both on and off the court. We are so excited to start the next part of our season next week in regionals.”

Abby Ongna led Marshfield with 11 kills. Caitlyn Pernsteiner and Lauren Homolka added 10 and nine kills, respectively. Reinya Balderson had 30 assists for Marshfield. Elise Uphoff had a team-high 10 digs, while Ongna and Grace Taylor both had eight.

Stevens Point 3, Wisconsin Rapids 0

STEVENS POINT - The Panthers cruised past the Red Raiders 25-7, 25-11, 25-12.

Leaders for Stevens Point were Emma Jossie with 20 assists and four aces, Alli Schrank with five aces and 14 digs, Peyton Wachsmuth with three aces, Emma Barton with nine kills, Maria Ananiadis with five kills, Abby Klismith with four kills and two blocks, Ali Torhorst with four blocks, Sommer Wright with five digs and Chloe Kinder with five digs.

Mosinee 3, Marathon 1

MOSINEE - Mosinee earned a 25-23, 25-18, 25-27, 25-22 win over the Red Raiders in nonconference action.

Mosinee leaders included Maggie Woller with 11 kills, MaKayla Weisner with 11 kills and 10 digs, Malina Carattini with 10 kills, Alexis Jonas with 38 assists and 15 digs, Tristan Wicklund with five aces and 10 digs, and Addison Vaughn with 22 digs.

The win moved Mosinee to 23-10, while Marathon fell to 15-11.

McDonell Catholic 3, Columbus Catholic 0

MARSHFIELD - The Macks started fast and cruised to a 25-11, 25-17, 25-18 Cloverbelt Conference crossover win.

Leaders for Columbus were Aaliyah Krenn with 10 kills, Courtney Sommer with six kills, eight digs, 11 assists and two aces, Lily Stratman with 12 assists and Izzy Hoglund with nine digs.

BOYS SOCCER

Stevens Point 2, Appleton East 0

APPLETON - The Panthers improved to 6-9-1 with the victory over the Patriots.

Appleton East is now 4-12-3.

Northland Pines 1, Medford 0

MEDFORD - The Eagles shut out the Raiders and improved their record to 3-12-3.

Medford suffered its first conference loss to slip to 8-1-1 and 12-2-2 overall.

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - The Royals had 401 yards of total offense and held Rosholt to 32 yards in the victory.

With the win, Assumption finished 7-0 in the CWC-Small and 8-1 overall in the regular season.

Nick Leberg had 20 carries for 126 yards and three touchdowns. Cade Statz added 10 carries for 94 yards and two touchdowns.
