Fox Valley Association Championship

GREENVILLE - Kaukauna, which won the regular-season title with a 9-0 record in dual meets, won the conference tournament at Chaska Golf Course.

The Ghosts shot a 349 total to beat Appleton North by five strokes. Neenah finished third 20 strokes behind.

Charlie Clinefelter led Kaukauna with an 85 and Norah Berken shot 87.

AJ Powell of Appleton North was the individual medalist with a 71. She was the only player to break 80.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

APPLETON - The Lightning defeated the Terrors 25-20, 25-16, 25-15 in a Fox Valley Association match.

“Appleton West has a very solid and scrappy team,” Appleton North coach Steven Scheuerell said. “They pushed us and made it hard for us to find a rhythm. I am proud of how our girls stayed persistent and pushed through the struggle to get the win.”

Ella Demetrician led Appleton North with 16 kills. Ella Weber had 20 assists. Karissa Fortune, who had a team-high 11 digs, also had nine kills. Madeline Koshuta contributed eight kills while Olivia Lasee had seven kills.

Appleton West was led by Claire Crawford with 17 assists and seven digs. Audrey Rosenbaum had seven kills.

Neenah 3, Appleton East 0

NEENAH - The Rockets swept the Patriots 25-17, 25-20, 27-25.

Marissa Corso led the Rockets with 11 kills. Claudia Merizon had 17 assists. Elizabeth Oldenburg had 11 digs. Leia Kersten added 11 assists while Carly Stamm had nine kills.

Fox Valley Lutheran 3, Freedom 2

FREEDOM - The Foxes needed five sets to dispatch the Irish 25-18, 16-25, 19-25, 25-21, 15-10 in a North Eastern Conference match.

Sam Kempinger and Annaliese Patchett led Fox Valley Lutheran with 12 kills each. Emma Nilson and Kate Henze added 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Savanna Charron and Ava Patchett were tops in assists with 19 and 16, respectively, for FVL. Kennedy Schmitz had a team-leading 24 digs, Mia Schaser had 16 digs, Charron had 13 and Henze had 12.

Rachel Koss led Freedom with 33 assists. She also had 10 kills. Sydney Bartels had team highs in kills with 18 to go along with 13 digs. Halle Srb led with 14 digs. Evelyn Wall-Perkins had eig blocks for Freedom.

Xavier 3, Green Bay West 0

GREEN BAY - The Hawks swept the Wildcats 25-13, 25-5, 25-10 in a Bay Conference match.

Xavier, now 3-0 in the Bay and 20-4 overall, was led by Mariah Potter with 16 assists. She also had eight aces. Jena Bunks and Olivia Neumann led with four kills. Belle Shea had five digs and five aces, and Madison Daley had six assists.

Luxemburg-Casco 3, Wrightstown 0

LUXEMBURG - The Spartans swept the Tigers 25-12, 25-9, 25-16 in a North Eastern Conference match.

Leaders for Luxemburg-Casco included Alayna Deprez with 18 assists, Autumn Flynn with 12 kills, Ella VanderVelden with eight kills and three blocks, and Brooke VandeHei with 10 digs.

The Spartans improve to 19-8 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

“I thought our girls came out in each set on fire and did a lot of really good things. We need to keep our focus throughout the entire set,” Spartans coach Jeff Frey said. “It was an awesome atmosphere in the gym tonight with our annual Pink Out Night. Amazing community support.”

Seymour 3, West De Pere 2

DE PERE - The Thunder defeated the Phantoms in five sets 15-25, 25-23, 18-25, 25-20, 15-5.

“It was an intense match and they played so well together as a team to come out on top,” Seymour coach Amber Thompson said of the Thunder.

Hilbert 3, Mishicot 0

HILBERT - The Wolves cruised to a 25-12, 25-23, 25-19 Big East Conference win.

Leading Hilbert were Megan Woelfel with 12 digs and 10 kills, Cady Kuhn with 15 assists, Gwen Breckheimer with 18 assists and five aces, and Kaylie Hernke with 11 kills.

St. Mary Catholic 3, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 0

FOX CROSSING - The Zephyrs defeated the Resorters 25-7, 25-16, 25-13.

Eliana Brenn led St. Mary Catholic with eight kills, while Lauren Fischer had six kills. Audrey Norville had 10 digs. Stella Virlee had 19 assists.

BOYS SOCCER

Kimberly 2, Hortonville 0

KIMBERLY - The Papermakers took a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute of the match against the Polar Bears on a penalty kick by Joshua Wachtendonk.

Kimberly’s Andrew Walters made it 2-0 in the second half on a full volley off a corner kick by Liam Paradiso.

Cooper Hoffman had three saves in goal for Kimberly.

Oshkosh West 2, Appleton North 0

APPLETON - The Wildcats scored twice in the second half to beat the Lightning in a Fox Valley Association game.

John Munson scored in the 48th minute and Carson Gerlach scored in the 53rd minute. Iban Heredia assisted on Gerlach's goal.

Sean Godfrey recorded five saves in goal for Oshkosh West.

St. Mary Catholic 2, Howards Grove 0

FOX CROSSING - The Zephyrs beat the Huskies on two second-half goals.

AJ Groppel put St. Mary Catholic ahead 1-0 on a penalty kick, with Emiliano Romero scoring off a corner kick in the 77th minute. Harrison Higgins assisted on Romero’s goal.

Hunter Schreiber had one save for St. Mary Catholic.

Aaron Federwisch had 10 saves for Howards Grove.
