Here are Thursday's high school sports results for the Wausau and Stevens Point area

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Marshfield 3, D.C. Everest 0

MARSHFIELD - The Tigers defeated the Evergreens 25-21, 25-20, 27-25.

Marshfield’s kills leader was Abby Ongna with 11, while Reinya Balderson had 26 assists and Elise Uphoff added four service aces.

Dig leaders included Balderson with 14, Uphoff 11 and Grace Taylor nine. Rylee Corteen added nine block kills.

The win moved the Tigers to 17-2 overall, including 3-0 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference.

Wausau West 3, Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln 0

WISCONSIN RAPIDS - The Warriors swept the Red Raiders 25-21, 25-16, 25-21.

Claire Calmes led Wausau West with three aces and 11 digs, Kenzie Deaton added two aces, five kills and 13 digs, Brooke Schaefer had 13 assists, Addyson Hase had six kills, and Alli Schauls had nine kills with 14 digs.

Abbotsford 3, Colby 1

ABBOTSFORD - The Falcons knocked off the Hornets 28-26, 25-21, 17-25, 26-24.

Sommer Brodhagen had 20 assists, Haylee Soyk had 19 kills and 10 digs, and Adriana Rivera added 12 digs for Abbotsford.

Faith Sperl added 11 assists and 11 digs, and Briseida Escalera had six aces for Abbotsford.

Pittsville 3, Spencer 0

PITTSVILLE - The Panthers swept the Rockets 25-23, 25-16, 25-19.

Hayly Smith and Hannah Reckner each had nine kills for Spencer. Hallie Meyer had 21 assists, Reckner added 14 digs and Shelby Frisch had five service aces.

Three Lakes Triangular

THREE LAKES - Columbus Catholic won both matches in the triangular against Phillips and Three Lakes. The Dons defeated Three Lakes 25-16, 25-20 and Phillips 25-19, 25-12.

Courtney Sommer had 16 kills, 11 digs, 16 assists and three aces to lead the Dons. Aaliyah Krenn added nine kills and two aces, Jenna Kibbel had seven kills and 15 digs, Gracie Wilczek had six kills, 14 digs and three aces, Lily Stratman had 17 assists, and Izzy Hoglund had 21 digs and two aces.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood 3, Bonduel 2

BONDUEL - The Chargers beat the Bears 25-19, 23-25, 25-16, 16-25, 15-13 on Tuesday.

London Metropulos led W-B with 23 kills, and Reese Rogowski had 18 kills and 16 digs. Lilly Betry added 22 assists and six service aces, Payton Foster had 20 assists and Allison Linke had 21 digs.

“It was a back and forth battle all night long,” W-B coach Becky Rew said. “In the sets we won, we served well, played tough defense and connected on our hits. The girls did a great job of fighting back again in this match. We were down 2-7 in the final set and fought back with a couple good runs to take home the victory.”

OWEN - Treyton Tessmer ran for 154 yards and four touchdowns, and Colin Dallman had 141 yards and two TDs to lead Owen-Withee to the victory.

MARSHFIELD - Landon Gray opened the scoring for the Evergreens 11 minutes in on an assist by Tyler Goertz.

Amahir Patel scored the equalizer for the Tigers in the 27th minute, assisted by Matthew Uphoff.

Giovanni Alonzo put away the go-ahead goal for the Evergreens on an Adin Schultz assist in the 29th minute for what would be the game-clincher.

Jacob Lorge had two saves for D.C. Everest and Kai Rens saved one shot for Marshfield.

Columbus Catholic 5, Newman Catholic 2

WAUSAU - The Cardinals opened the scoring six minutes in but the Dons responded in the 12th minute with a goal from Charlie Moore, assisted by Alex Edwards.

Newman added another goal in the 20th minute to retake the lead, but Columbus rolled off four straight goals - two from Edwards, another from Moore, and one from Cade Jansen - to earn the victory.

Lucas Kreklau had five saves for Columbus.

The Dons improve to 9-1 overall and 5-0 in conference.

Lakeland 2, Mosinee 0

MOSINEE - Lakeland scored twice in the second half to pull out the Great Northern Conference victory.
