Fox Valley Association Tournament

APPLETON - Neenah and Kimberly tied for the conference championship, both finishing with a combined 15 points.

Kimberly took first place in the conference tournament, with Neenah second, while Neenah took first and Kimberly was second in dual meet points.

It is the 10th consecutive conference championship for Neenah.

Julia Gurholt of Kimberly took first place at No. 1 singles, beating Melissa Petrinski of Fond du Lac 6-0, 6-2 in the championship match.

Neenah had individual titles from Izzy Murray at No. 2 singles, Sophie Hodek and Gabby Hackbarth at No. 2 doubles, and Ava Motto and Cecelia Alexander at No. 3 doubles.

Olivia Gaskill of Appleton North took first place at No. 3 singles and Kate McGinnis of Kimberly took first at No. 4 singles.

Keagan Potter and Kate Conger of Oshkosh West took first place at No. 1 doubles with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Mia Bahr and Brooklyn Birschbach of Fond du Lac.

APPLETON - The Lightning beat the Wildcats 25-8, 25-11, 25-17 in Fox Valley Association action.

Leaders for Appleton North were Elise Checkalski with 10 digs and two aces, Emerson Van Lannen with six aces, five digs, and 16 assists, Ella Weber with 14 assists and two kills, Ella Demetrician with six kills and four digs, Teegan Charapata with six kills and two aces, Karissa Fortune with nine kills, and Olivia Lasee with eight kills and two blocks.

Oshkosh West was led by Maeve Lasky with six kills, Maddi Choinski with 11 digs and Sydnee Nelson with three kills. Kierstin Martin added eight assists.

Laconia 3, Lomira 2

LOMIRA - The Spartans swept the Lions 25-11, 25-23, 25-8 in a Flyway Conference match.

Pallen Kloetzke led Laconia with 28 assists. Emma Bohn had a team-leading 25 digs, while Aubrey Leonard and Lexie Janeczko both had 13 digs. Mattie Isaac led Laconia with 11 kills.

Winnebago Lutheran 3, North Fond du Lac 0

NORTH FOND DU LAC - The Vikings beat the Orioles 25-17, 25-16, 25-21.

Leaders for North Fond du Lac included Allison Now with 15 digs and Megan Pelot with 10 assists and 10 digs. Lillian Goeckerman, Ella Oie and Kalista Ziemer each had three kills.

Central Wisconsin Christian 3, Valley Christian 1

OSHKOSH - The Crusaders defeated the Warriors 25-9, 25-19, 20-25, 25-22.

Central Wisconsin Christian was led in kills by Ada Smies and Elise Ritzema with 15 and 11, respectively. Kaitlyn Vander Werff had 24 assists. Erin Ruis had 21 digs, while Ritzema had 11.

BOYS SOCCER

Central Wisconsin Christian 4, Winnebago Lutheran 1

WAUPUN - The Crusaders led the Vikings 3-0 at the half on goals from Isaac Abel, Baylee Schaalma and Brock Hoekstra.

Schaalma added two assists and Ryan De Vries set up Schaalma’s goal. Levi Vander Galien scored unassisted after the intermission.

Seth Schroeder scored the only goal for the Vikings.

Will Syens had five saves for CWC.

The Crusaders extended their winning streak to five games, outscoring opponents 25-3 in the process, while the loss for the Vikings is their first in the Flyway standings and also snaps their six game winning streak.

North Fond du Lac United 2, St. Lawrence Seminary 2

FOND DU LAC - The Hilltoppers scored twice in the first half and United answered with two goals after the intermission as the two teams played to a 2-2 tie.

Eugenio Tinoco scored in the 14th minute and Huy Tran found the net in the 30th minute for St. Lawrence.

Alexis Moreira cashed in an assist by Kellan Gill in the 35th minute and Angel Perez scored on a corner kick assist from Christian Gonzalez in the 69th minute.
