Here are Thursday's high school sports results for the Appleton area

SOFTBALL

Kimberly 13, Neenah 3

NEENAH - The Papermakers homered twice and had 15 hits in the victory over the Rockets.

Kimberly (5-1) scored seven runs in the first inning. Sophie Hermus led off with a home run and Lilly Hurt hit a grand slam later in the inning.

Hermus was 4-for-4, Sophie Girard was 3-for-3, and Hurt and Aleigh Buss added two hits each.

Josie Hammen pitched five innings, allowing five hits and three runs. She struck out five batters.

Oshkosh North 16, Appleton East 15

OSHKOSH - Lauren Geer had three hits, including the walk-off winner in the ninth inning, for the Spartans.

Sophia Housworth also had three hits for Oshkosh North.

Oshkosh West 7, Appleton West 0

APPLETON - Braelee Jodarski pitched a no-hitter, striking out 11 and walking two to lead the Wildcats past the Terrors.

The game was scoreless until the fifth inning, when Oshkosh West scored three runs. Jodarski, who was 2-for-4 with a double, Savannah Swanke and Colleen Fitzpatrick had singles in the inning.

Kathryn Bergin added two hits, including a double, and Brianna Bougie also had two hits for the Wildcats.

Notre Dame 11, Fox Valley Lutheran 1

APPLETON - Klarissa Peters was 4-for-4 at the plate for the Tritons with three RBIs in the win over the Foxes.

Emma Jahner also collected three RBIs, finishing 2-for-4. Stella Starry had two hits in three at-bats with two RBIs and Savannah Schultz went 3-for-3 with an RBI.

Megan Gelb earned the win for Notre Dame, giving up eight hits, a walk and a run while striking out three through five innings.

Alaina Krueger and MacyJean Cain each led FVL with two hits in three at-bats, with Cain collecting the lone RBI for the Foxes.

Brooklyn Blob took the loss on the mound.

Menasha 5, Xavier 3

MENASHA - The Bluejays rallied late to hand the Hawks the loss.

Trailing 3-2 in the fifth, Menasha’s Kylie Van De Loo doubled to advance Addie Lund to third. Lund then scored on a wild pitch and Van De Loo scored the go-ahead run on a hit by Kelsie Mohr.

The Bluejays added a run in the sixth.

Five errors and four walks proved too much for the Hawks to overcome.

Addison Hervey had three hits, and Ella Bauman and Chloe Columbo had two each to pace Xavier.

Southern Door 15, Wrightstown 3

WRIGHTSTOWN - The Eagles pounded out 18 hits to earn the five-inning win in nonconference action.

Leading Southern Door were Callie Miller and Chloe Lustilla with three hits, and Sophia Counard, Ashlyn Delfossse and Payton Gilbertson, all with two.

Delfosse picked up the win, pitching four innings and getting four strikeouts.

St. Mary Catholic 12, Oostburg 0

FOX CROSSING - The Zephyrs shut out the Flying Dutchmen to improve to 3-0 in the Big East and 3-1 overall.

Adel Schneider and Allie Strande led off the first inning with bunt singles. They worked a double steal with Schneider stealing home. After two were out, Emily Vogel singled in Strande and Nevaeh Saringer followed with a two-run home run that went 225 feet.

In the fourth inning, SMC scored seven runs on five hits and two errors. Strande had a two-RBI single, Jaylyn Akey collected an RBI single, and Vogel drove in two on a double.

Strande finished 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs scored, Vogel was 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored, Saringer was 2-for-3 with the two-run home run, and Teagan Miller 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.

Jayce Mitag and Crystal Dulmes each went 1-for-2 for Oostburg.

Saringer earned the win for the Zephyrs, giving up just two hits in five innings with eight strikeouts.

BASEBALL

Kimberly 6, Neenah 3

NEENAH - Evan Olson was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to lead the Papermakers past the Rockets.

Kale Twombly and Sawyer Deering each added two hits for Kimberly.

Alex Vander Loop pitched 4⅓ innings for the win. He allowed no runs, two hits and struck out nine.

Hortonville 11, Fond du Lac 6

HORTONVILLE - The Polar Bears busted out their big bats with four home runs against the Cardinals, scoring in every inning but the first.

Joe Fischer, Camden Kuhnke, Turner Kuhnke and Brett Sommer all hit homers for Hortonville and Camden Kuhnke also cracked a double to finish 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Fischer was 2-for-3 with three runs and a pair of RBIs.

Logan Kraus finished 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs, two stolen bases and an RBI for Fondy, and Brayden Eigenbrodt went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Ethan Peters earned the win for the Polar Bears going three innings while giving up four hits, three walks, three earned runs and striking out four.

Sam Ernst took the loss for Fondy after 3⅔ innings, giving up eight hits, three walks, three homers and seven earned runs. Ernst struck out one batter.

Oshkosh West 13, Appleton West 3

APPLETON - Kyle Wolf pitched 4⅔ innings, allowing two hits and striking out eight to pitch the Wildcats to the victory.

Hank Meyer and Owen Ervin each drove in two runs for Oshkosh West.

Wrightstown 11, Marinette 1

MARINETTE - The Tigers took advantage of eight walks and five Marinette errors as they scored six runs in the first, three in the third and two in the sixth to earn the North Eastern Conference win.

Keegan Leick and Trevor Vande Hey each drove in a pair of runs for Wrightstown.

Jack Hermann picked up the win, allowing one unearned run on four hits and one walk. He struck out two. Jack Severson went the last three innings, allowing one hit and one walk, while striking out six.

Ethan Doubek had two hits for the Marines.

Freedom 4, Luxemburg-Casco 0

FREEDOM - Right-hander Trenton Fuecht pitched 6⅓ innings, allowing just two hits and two walks, while striking out 16 to help lift the Irish to the North Eastern Conference win.

Jack Vosters powered the Irish offense as he banged out two hits, including a double. Carson Clausen had two RBI, while Carter Kriewaldt scored two of the four runs for the Irish.

Freedom moved to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in the NEC, while Luxemburg-Casco fell to 1-2 in league play.

Denmark 11, Fox Valley Lutheran 1

APPLETON - The Vikings moved to 3-0 in the North Eastern Conference with the five-inning win.

Luke Miller picked up the win, going all five innings and allowing four hits and two walks, while striking out six.

Denmark scored three runs in the third as Ebyn LaForest had an RBI double. The Vikings then broke open a 3-1 game in the fifth, scoring eight runs, keyed by Jaycob Dittmer’s two-run triple, Nolan Perry’s RBI single and Miller’s two-run single. Ethan Ovsak and Braedyn Heezen finished with two hits each.

Ian Plaster and Cael Cook had doubles for FVL.

Denmark is 5-1 overall, while FVL fell to 2-2 in the conference and overall.

Menasha 9, Shawano 2

MENASHA - Nathan Kurland was 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, while Ty Carlson was 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs scored as the Bluejays overpowered the Hawks.

Jason Breier picked up the complete-game win, allowing just one earned run through seven innings with two walks and five strikeouts.

Ryan Johnson doubled and had two RBIs, while Quinn Ludvigsen scored twice and Lane Boucher doubled, had an RBI and scored one run for Menasha.

Carsen Herm doubled and scored two runs, while Pete Bruette drove in one run and Ashton Henning stole one base to lead Shawano.

Xavier 10, West De Pere 8

DE PERE - The Hawks scored four times in the first, two in the second, three in the fourth and one in the fifth to build a 10-3 advantage before holding off the Phantoms.

Parker Bleck, Luke Krull and Reid Hietpas all had two hits for the Hawks, with Krull and Hietpas adding two RBIs.

Duke Shovald hit a home run and had two RBIs for West De Pere. Joey Reisenberg also drove in two runs.

Oostburg 7, St. Mary Catholic 6

FOX CROSSING - The Zephyrs rallied from a 5-0 deficit to take a 6-5 lead into the seventh, but the Flying Dutchmen responded with two runs of their own to pull out the Big East Conference victory.

Caden Helmer was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, while Levi Mills drove in a pair of runs to power Oostburg.

Noah Decker had two RBIs for SMC, which managed just two hits in the game.

Chilton 7, Kiel 2

CHILTON - Austin Grube pitched five innings and struck out 10 batters to lead the Tigers to the win.

Grube allowed three hits, two runs (one earned) and walked three. Ryan Lisowe pitched the final two innings and struck out one.

Grant Mueller drove in two runs for Chilton. Hunter Rolbiecki had two hits, including a double.

Bonduel 10, Weyauwega-Fremont 1

BONDUEL - Noah Weier picked up the win, allowing just one run on three hits in six innings. He did not walk a batter and struck out nine.

Bonduel took charge early, scoring twice in the first and four in the third. Easton Reinke hit a two-run homer in the first and an RBI double in the third.

Reinke led the Bears, going 3-for-4 with two homers, a double and six RBIs. Weier was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, while Karson Stoss added two hits.

Bryce Dittmann took the loss for the Warhawks, going five innings and allowing seven runs on 11 hits with one walk and one strikeout.

GIRLS SOCCER

Appleton North 1, Bay Port 0

APPLETON - Brinley Dunsirn scored an unassisted goal for the Lightning in the nonconference win.

Appleton North keeper Serena Jaber recorded the shutout.

Kimberly 5, Sheboygan North 1

SHEBOYGAN - Senah Hanes scored three goals and had an assist for the Papermakers in the nonconference win.

Emily McCarthy added one goal and three assists, and Jenna Scholz also scored. Abby Lom added one assist.

The game was tied 1-1 at halftime.

Fox Valley Lutheran 4, Freedom 2

APPLETON - Jessi Griepentrog scored two goals for the Foxes in the victory over the Irish.

Andrea Neuser and Katya Fett also scored for FVL. Brielle Weise had an assist.

Freedom’s goals were scored by Claire Murphy and Abigail Drontle. Drontle also had an assist.

Luxemburg-Casco 5, Clintonville 0

CLINTONVILLE - Emi Kuhn scored three goals, while Diem Bonness and Haley Paye also added goals for the Spartans in the North Eastern Conference win.

Ella LeGrave and Paye each had an assist.
