Here are Thursday's high school sports results for the Green Bay area

FOOTBALL

Bay Port 24, Notre Dame 3

SUAMICO - Cole Bensen threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another as the Pirates built a big early lead and held off the Tritons.

Bensen opened the scoring by hitting Brett Shipley for a 70-yard scoring strike with 3:06 left in the first quarter. He closed out the period by racing for a 56-yard touchdown for a 14-0 lead.

The advantage grew to 21-0 at the 9:07 mark of the second quarter when Bensen and Shipley hooked up for a 39-yard TD.

Nicholas Gruessen put the Tritons on the board with a 21-yard field goal to close out the first-half scoring.

Owen Bellisle connected on a 30-yard third-quarter field goal for Bay Port.

The Pirates (2-0) outgained the Tritons (0-2) 322-149 in total yards as Bensen led the way by completing 7 of 12 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns against one interception. He also rushed 15 times for 103 yards and a score.

Shipley was Bay Port’s top receiver with two catches for 109 yards and two TDs.

Ian Blom led Notre Dame with 63 yards rushing on 23 carries.

WALES - The Lasers took a 20-0 lead over the Jaguars in the first quarter and never trailed in picking up the win.

Boone Kirst led Ashwaubenon with 291 passing yards and two touchdowns while completing 26-of-54.

Caden Van Duyse had 99 yards receiving while Gus Newel had 73 yards rushing.

COLEMAN - The Cougars rushed for 287 yards in their win over the Bears.

Owen Kinziger led Coleman with 99 yards rushing on 20 carries.

Bonduel was led by Noah Weier with nine completions for 124 yards and Louis Hrabik with 53 yards rushing on 13 carries. Gavin Vance caught three passes for 78 yards.

BOYS SOCCER

Pulaski 4, Marshfield 2

MARSHFIELD - Ryan Drafz scored twice and Alex Kouzov and Jack Ryan both scored once to lead the Red Raiders over the Tigers.

Keegan Fredrick scored goals at the 46th and 51st minutes for Marshfield. Maahir Patel assisted on Fredrick’s second goal.

“All in all, we played well even though the score doesn’t reflect it,” Marshfield coach Jeffrey Molter said. “We had some great attacks and left two or three goals out there for sure with missed opportunities.”

Chase Ambrosius, Corbin Tackmier and Hayden Burkel had assists for Pulaski.

Mason Baker had six saves for Pulaski.

Zak Meyer had 10 saves for Marshfield.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Crivitz Triangular

CRIVITZ - Crivitz posted two wins, while Suring went 1-1 and St. Thomas Aquinas was 0-2.

Suring opened the event with a 25-8, 25-15, 25-7 victory over St. Thomas, followed by Crivitz with a 25-12, 25-8, 25-8 win over St. Thomas.

In the nightcap, Crivitz earned the hard-fought 25-23, 25-18, 20-25, 25-23 triumph.

Crivitz was paced by Hailee Gyger with 48 assists and five digs, while Kylie Chilcote added 20 kills and two blocks. Senya Caine had seven aces and nine kills, while Lucy Gruszynski had eight kills and two digs, and Tayah Werner had nine kills, six digs, four aces and three blocks.

Coleman Triangular

COLEMAN - Coleman beat Oneida Nation 3-0 and Wausaukee 3-0, while Wausaukee beat Oneida Nation 3-0.

The Cougars received 10 digs and seven assists from Sylvia Fochesato and seven digs and four kills from Aubrey Bintz as they cruised to a 25-10, 25-6, 25-7 win over Oneida.

Katie Knox added five kills and seven service aces for Coleman.

The Cougars again used a balanced attack to roll to a 25-14, 25-13, 25-11 win over the Rangers.

Knox had eight service aces, five digs and five attack kills, while Bintz added six digs and five kills. Adding six digs each were Breana Hanrahan and Madelyn Hinther.

The Rangers cruised to the 25-16, 25-20, 25-16 triumph.

Lena Triangular

LENA - Niagara went 2-0, while Lena was 1-1 and Gillett 0-2.

Niagara and Lena started the event with the match of the day as the Badgers outlasted the Wildcats 3-2. Niagara posted an 18-25, 25-10, 24-26, 25-12, 15-11 victory.

Niagara followed that with a 25-14, 25-10, 25-11 win over Gillett.

The Wildcats nailed down second with a hard-fought 25-23, 25-22, 22-25, 25-15 win over Gillett.
