Marshfield 9, Wausau East/Merrill 2

MARSHFIELD - The Tigers scored five goals in the second period to pull away for the victory.

Joey Cashmere and Noah Peterson each scored two goals and had three assists for Marshfield.

Tigers goalie Cole Halvorsen made eight saves.

Karsyn Blasky and Vincent Newman-Knuckles scored goals for East/Merrill, while goalie Jake Furrer made 40 saves.

Stevens Point 7, Wisconsin Rapids 3

STEVENS POINT - The Panthers scored four goals in the first period in their victory over the Red Raiders.

Mason Keller and Kade Smigaj each scored two goals for SPASH. Grant Molski, Jackson Schroeder and Carter Drexler also scored. Schroeder had two assists.

Hunter Christjohn made 27 saves in goal for Stevens Point.

Wisconsin Rapids goals were scored by Carter Morrison, Pagel Jax and Griffin Schindler.

Milo Spurlin made 27 saves in goal for Rapids.

Mosinee 8, Waupaca 1

WAUPACA - Mosinee scored four goals in the opening period to take control in the win over the Comets.

Gavin Obremski scored three goals for Mosinee. Caden Schmirler added two goals, while Ethan Denesha, Ethan Oatman and Elliot Yirkovsky also scored.

Grant Kuklinski had three assists and Schmirler had two assists.

Waupaca’s goal was scored by Alex Gusmer.

Mosinee goalie Aiden Karst made 24 saves. Waupaca goalie Gavin Hafferman had 41 saves.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Central Wisconsin 13, Northland Pines 0

EAGLE RIVER - Michaela Gerum led the way with four goals as the Storm rolled past the Eagles.

Hannah Baumann and Gabi Heuser each added two goals for Central Wisconsin. Other goals were scored by Marli Novy, Mackenzie Bautch, Sophie Bohlin, Anna Meyer and Mara Meverden.

Julia DeByle, Tristan Wicklund, Gianna Travis and Baumann all had two assists.

Storm goalie Chloe Lemke made seven saves.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Loyal 49, Columbus Catholic 31

MARSHFIELD - The Greyhounds held the Dons to nine points in the first half to build a 13-point halftime lead in the win.

Olivia Nikolai scored 11 points and Alyssia Zvolena had 10 for Loyal.

Columbus Catholic was led by Haley Zimmerman and Hailey Klumb with 12 points each.

Autumn Davis hit six 3-pointers on her way to a game-high 26 points for Spencer.
