Here are Thursday's high school sports results

SOFTBALL

Fond du Lac 6, Appleton West 0

FOND DU LAC - Susan Vokes pitched a no-hitter and broke the school record for strikeouts in a game with 18 in the Cardinals’ win over the Terrors.

Vokes walked three batters.

Cassie Auchue had two hits for Fond du Lac. Autumn Freismuth drove in two runs and Vokes had a double.

Oshkosh North 9, Appleton North 3

OSHKOSH - Kara Cummings struck out eight batters to pitch the Spartans to the victory over the Lightning.

Sophia Housworth had three hits, including two doubles, for Oshkosh North. Ava Hanson, Olivia Borowitz and Morgan Kolodzik each had two hits.

The Spartans scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie. Housworth had a two-run double.

Lomira 14, Omro 0

LOMIRA - The Lions scored nine runs in the first two innings in their win over the Foxes.

Trista Gassner and Haleigh Caspary both had three hits for Lomira. Caspary had a double, drove in two runs and scored twice. Morgan Schroeder and Nora Buske both had two hits. One of Buske’s hits was a triple. Taylor Bloom drove in four runs and scored twice.

Caspary allowed just one hit in the five-inning game. She didn’t walk anyone and struck out 12.

Madi Brooks took the loss for Omro.

Green Bay Preble 13, Notre Dame 0

GREEN BAY - Katie Geydoshek struck out 12 in a five-inning no-hitter to lead the Hornets to the win over the Tritons.

Geydoshek also led the offense with three hits, including a home run, and had three RBIs.

McKenna Weider and Sam Foytik both had two hits, with Weider also driving in three runs. Bridgette Beau and Cara Schauer both had doubles for Green Bay Preble.

Manitowoc 11, Sheboygan North 1

SHEBOYGAN - Delaney Granger went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBIs to lead the Ships to a six-inning win over the Golden Raiders.

Kailee Ansorge had two hits, including a triple, for Manitowoc. Karenna Sorenson had two RBIs and Natalie Lehman also had two hits and two RBIs.

Sorenson pitched for Manitowoc and got the win, allowing four hits and striking out 11.

St. Mary Catholic 15, Sheboygan Lutheran 4 (Wednesday)

FOX CROSSING - The Zephyrs scored six runs in the bottom of the first inning and finished with 13 hits in the five-inning victory.

Chloe Vogel had two hits, including an inside-the-park home run, and also scored three runs and drove in two runs for SMC. Nevaeh Saringer added two hits, including a home run, and had three RBIs and three runs scored.

Adela Thiel was 3-for-3, Adel Schneider had two hits with a double, and Rhiannon Reichenbacher drove in two runs.

Reichenbacher was the winning pitcher. She pitched five innings, allowed five hits and struck out nine.

Kara Thimming was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, and Alex Stricker had two hits for Sheboygan Lutheran.

BASEBALL

Bay Port 15, Sheboygan South 1

SUAMICO - Sawyer Larson hit a grand slam and Aiden Colombo picked up the win on the mound to lead the Pirates.

Colombo pitched four innings and allowed four hits.

Seymour 9, Kewaunee 6

KEWAUNEE - The Thunder scored its runs on seven hits and six walks in the win over the Storm.

Lucas Leisgang had two hits for Seymour. He and Ty Schaumburg both drove in two runs. Leisgang had a home run, while Schaumburg, Keaton Barth and Braden DeBruin each had doubles.

Owen Carlson drove in three runs and had a home run for Kewaunee. Cal Ihlenfeldt drove in two. Thomas Stangel had two hits for Kewaunee.

Schaumburg got the win for Seymour. Caleb Schaller took the loss for Kewaunee.

Laconia 5, Lomira 4

LOMIRA - Laconia held a 2-0 lead going into the bottom of the fifth inning when Lomira scored four runs to jump out in front, led by Brady Mann’s two-RBI double and Josh Steger’s RBI triple.

However, Laconia answered back in the top of the sixth with three runs of its own to retake the lead. Reed McCauley’s two-RBI double in the top of the sixth gave the Spartans the lead for good.

Carter Farrell pitched five innings for Laconia, giving up three earned runs with four strikeouts. Ethan Pinno pitched the sixth and seventh innings and picked up the save for Laconia along with two strikeouts.

Lakeland Union 5, Abbotsford/Colby 2

ABBOTSFORD - Nate Ariola drove in two runs and Ashton Bremer scored twice to lead the Thunderbirds to the win over the Eagles.

Blake Bargender had two hits for Abbotsford/Colby.

Will Fortier pitched 2⅔ innings of shutout relief to get the win for Lakeland. Payton Schreiber took the loss for Abbotsford/Colby.

NEW Lutheran 7, Goodman-Pembine 2

GREEN BAY - The Blazers’ Sam Hillman scored two runs, and Branden Perez-Zavaleta had a double and drove in a run in the win over Goodman-Pembine.

Griffin Steffel was the winning pitcher.

It was the first game of the season for both teams.

Pittsville 2, Rib Lake 1

PITTSVILLE - The Panthers scored a run in the ninth inning to defeat Rib Lake.

Dylan Luther had two hits for Pittsville, while Brad Neve and Easton Dammann drove in runs.

Evan Haley pitched the final five innings, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out four to get the win.

Logan Zickert pitched the first four innings.

GIRLS SOCCER

West De Pere 1, Green Bay Southwest 0

GREEN BAY - Marissa VanDeHei scored in the 37th minute off an assist from Havanah Brockington in the Phantoms’ win over the Trojans.

Bella Peters had one save for West De Pere.

Gail Wery had nine saves for Green Bay Southwest.

Omro 6, Wrightstown 1

WRIGHTSTOWN - The Foxes scored three goals in each half in the win over the Tigers.

Livvie Sohn and Ava Stachura both had two goals for Omro. Holly Beck and Lindi Boeck had Omro’s other goals.

Kadie Hazel had one save in goal for Omro.

Plymouth 4, Kettle Moraine Lutheran 0

JACKSON - The Panthers got two goals from Kalli Knowles and one each from Cady Ninnemann and Cora Nothem in the win over Kettle Moraine Lutheran.

Addie Reimer had one save in goal for Plymouth.

Sheboygan Falls 4, Manitowoc 0

MANITOWOC - The Falcons got goals from Angel Grady, Addison Schliewe, Andrea Hicks and Brynne Carroll in the win over the Ships.

Riann Fitzpatrick had four saves in goal for Sheboygan Falls.

Oshkosh West 1, Notre Dame 1

GREEN BAY - The Wildcats and Tritons battled to a draw with Oshkosh West scoring in the first half and Notre Dame in the second half.

Laney Wiebel scored for Oshkosh West with Brenna Gehri getting an assist.

Hannah Wolf had seven saves for Oshkosh West.

Amherst/Iola-Scandinavia 1, Medford 0

AMHERST - The Falcons picked up their first win of the season in their first game of the season by defeating Medford.

Amherst/Iola-Scandinavia’s previous games against Clintonville and Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian were postponed.

Kiel 3, Howards Grove 0

KIEL - Abby Moore had a goal and an assist for the Raiders in the victory.

Lydia Vander Meer scored in the first five minutes. Grace McDole made it 2-0 with a goal off an assist from Moore, then Moore closed out the scoring off an assist from Aubrey Arnold.

Kyleigh Kroll got the shutout in goal and the defense was led by freshman Madyson Gutchow.
