Montgomery is in for an early Christmas present Thursday, as a legendary concert is being recreated live outdoors at The Tipping Point at Hampstead, 5015 Hampstead High St.

A huge lineup of artists, including Montgomery's own The Talismen, will perform at Live & Listen's annual JingleBall. This year is a full recreation of the two hour 1976 concert by The Band, which was captured in the 1978 Martin Scorsese film "The Last Waltz."

Doors open at 6 p.m., and the concert starts at 6:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $30, and can be purchased online at liveandlisten.com. Ticket holders will be on the list at The Tipping Point on the day of show, and will receive a wristband upon entry.

"The Last Waltz" includes hits like "Up on Cripple Creek," "The Weight," "Mannish Boy," "It Makes No Difference," and "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down," among many others.

Thursday's Jingle Ball lineup includes: Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band), Kevin Scott (Jimmy Herring & The 5 of 7), Matt Slocum (Railroad Earth), Darren Stanley (Perpetual Groove), Rick Lollar (Jimmy Herring & The 5 of 7), Dave Yoke (Dr. John), Daniel Wytanis (Ghost Note), Mark Raudabaugh (Donna The Buffalo), Nick Johnson (Randall Bramblett Band), Lee Yankie (Honey Island Swamp Band), Aaron Wilkinson (Honey Island Swamp Band), Billy Gant (The Murder Hornets), Jason Collier (Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics), Anton Harris (Atlanta Funk Society), Jordan Shalhoup (Yacht Rock Revue), and all four members of The Talismen.

They're filling the shoes of the original "The Band": Rick Danko, Richard Manuel, Garth Hudson, Robbie Robertson and Levon Helm.

Thirteen legendary guests also performed in "The Last Waltz" on Thanksgiving 1976: Muddy Waters, Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Dr. John, Ronnie Hawkins, Ringo Star, Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Ron Wood, Van Morrison and Neil Diamond.

JingleBall is presented by Central Alabama Psychology.
