Thursday's Top Prep Performers from baseball, softball, volleyball and golf

Highlights from Thursday in high school spring sports:

BASEBALL

  • Derek Turner allowed just three hits and no earned runs while striking out 10 in six innings and went 1 for 3 with four stolen bases, Evan Needham was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Owen Meli went 1 for 2 with two RBIs, Drew Turley had a hit and and RBI, and Luke Medhurst had a double to lead Newbury Park (12-5, 6-3) to a 7-3 victory over Thousand Oaks (6-13, 2-7) in a Marmonte League game.

  • Jaden Onaca went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Tommy Farmer was 1 for 2 with a walk, two stolen bases and two RBIs, Quentin Young had two walks and two RBIs, and Caz Arroyo allowed two hits and no earned runs in two innings to earn the win on the mound to lead Oaks Christian (10-6, 6-3) to an 8-7 win over Westlake in a Marmonte League game. Nolan Johnson had a home run and four RBIs, Will Kaczynski was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Nate Johnson went 2 for 4 with two runs scored, and Dillon Marrisett was 2 for 3 with two runs scored for the Warriors (11-7, 5-4).

  • Aiden Nykoluk delivered a walk-off single in the eighth inning to lift Simi Valley to a 2-1 win over Royal (10-4, 5-2) in a Coastal Canyon League game. Matthew Cuccias allowed one run while striking out 12 in 6.2 innings, Nico Ficele went 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI, and Ethan Walgren was 1 for 2 with two walks for the Pioneers (12-5, 4-2).

  • Alex Schaefer pitched a four-hit shutout with eight strikeouts, Camden Walker went 2 for 3 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Carter Kimble had a two-run single to lead Buena (13-6) to a 6-0 victory over Bishop Diego in a nonleague game.

  • Roman Munoz allowed just one run while striking out four in six innings, Rylan Stillwagon went 2 for 4, and Greg Lareva was 1 for 1 for Moorpark (12-7) in its 3-1, 10-inning loss to Alemany in a nonleague game.

  • Devin Gasway and Sean Sims each went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Tyler Shulman had a hit and an RBI, Ethan Gibbel allowed two runs in 3.1 innings, Gavin Slobin didn't allow an earned run in 2.2 innings to pick up the win, and Brandon Hoffman earned the save to lead Calabasas (13-5) to a 4-2 victory over Rio Mesa in a nonleague game.

SOFTBALL

  • Daniela Isarraras finished 4 for 4 with two home runs and seven RBIs, Shae Anderson was 2 for 4 with a homer and three RBIs, Sydney Burckhard went 2 for 4 with an RBI, Driana Martinez was 2 for 4 with three runs scored, Nathalie Hernandez went 2 for 4, Madison Finnerty was 2 for 2 with a walk and two runs scored and pitched a scoreless inning, and Viviana Ramirez struck out seven while allowing two hits and two runs in four innings to lead unbeaten Moorpark (12-0) to a 13-2 victory over Fillmore in a nonleague game.

  • Lexi Bower went 2 for 3 with two doubles and five RBIs, Grace Maguire was 3 for 4, and Rosy Salazar allowed three hits and one run while striking out 12 in a complete-game performance to lead Grace Brethren (5-3, 2-1) to a 6-1 victory over Bishop Diego in a Tri-Valley League game.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

  • Nordhoff became the first team in school history in any sport to reach the 30 wins in the regular season by sweeping Thousand Oaks 25-20, 25-14, 26-24 in a nonleague match. The Rangers improved to 30-7 overall.

  • Narith Prak finished with 45 assists, Jonny Garcia had 15 kills and Jacob Liporada had 16 digs and three aces to lead Oxnard (4-20, 4-7) to 18-25, 25-17, 28-26, 25-21 victory over Buena in a Channel League match.

BOYS GOLF

  • Eli Bernardo was the medalist with a 1-over 73 to lead Simi Valley (4-3) to a 391-467 victory over Moorpark in a Coastal Canyon League match at Moorpark Country Club.

  • Collin Donnelly was the medalist with a 2-under 34 and Caden Raines shot a 37 to lead unbeaten St. Bonaventure to a 205-263 win over Providence at Santa Barbara Municipal Golf Course.
