Thursday's Top Prep Performers from basketball, soccer, wrestling and water polo

Highlights from Thursday in high school sports:

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Kai Staniland finished with 19 points and five assists, Skyler Knight had 10 points and five rebounds, Jessie Sebek had nine points and seven rebounds, Sarah Beckman contributed seven points and nine rebounds, and Emily Rea added six points and three rebounds as Ventura (11-8, 3-3) beat Oxnard 53-42 to hand the Yellowjackets their first loss in Channel League play this season. Mika Jarrett had 20 points, five rebounds, five steals and five assists, Sofia Salgado scored 14 points, Kristan Yumul had seven points, and Aiyana Gonzales grabbed five rebounds for Oxnard (13-5, 4-1).

  • Skye Thomas had 13 points and seven rebounds and Karisma Lewis finished with eight points, 12 rebounds and six steals to lead Buena (9-7, 4-2) to a 54-36 win over Dos Pueblos in a Channel League game.

  • Haven Ramirez scored 17 points, Mimi Moon had 14 points and Mikayla Oliver added 10 points to lead Pacifica (12-5, 5-1) to a 58-47 win over San Marcos in a Channel League game.

  • Mathis Dritz finished with 22 points, seven steals, five rebounds and four blocks, Devin Feiereisen contributed 16 points, three steals and two assists, Alyssa Jackson had 12 points, five rebounds and three steals, Aiden Pino had 12 points, two rebounds and two assists, and Taylor Swanson compiled eight assists, seven rebounds, four blocks and three steals to lead Westlake (15-4) to a 68-20 win over St. Bonaventure in a nonleague game.

  • Rachel Patrykus finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds, five steals and five blocks and Addy Crawford had five points, 12 rebounds and five assists for Villanova Prep in its 39-32 loss to Thacher in a Frontier League game.

BOYS SOCCER

  • Pabel Ayala had a goal and an assist, Christian Carbajal and Robert Vargas scored goals, and Adrian Docen had an assist to lead Oxnard (13-1-5, 6-0-0) to a 3-1 win over Santa Barbara (4-6-4, 0-4-3) in a Channel League match.

  • Nate Lopez finished with two goals, Ivan Ramos had a goal, Bryan Martinez had two assists, and Marcos Rico had an assist to lead Buena (10-9-1, 3-3-1) to a 3-0 win over Rio Mesa (2-11-4, 0-6-1) in a Channel League match.

  • Jose de Jesus Hernandez scored a goal off an assist from Angel Ortiz, but Pacifica (9-4-1, 5-2-0) played the final 30 minutes down a man and fell 2-1 to San Marcos (8-1-2, 7-0-0) in a key Channel League match.

  • Ventura (7-5-0, 2-5-0) lost 2-0 to host Dos Pueblos (2-9-1, 2-5-1) in a Channel League match.

  • Matheus Gamble netted a hat trick, Merric Bayless finished with a goal and two assists, Nico Flores scored a goal, and Powell Saucedo had an assist to lead Foothill Tech to a 5-3 overtime win over Bishop Diego in a Tri-Valley League match.

  • Jeremy Larson and Matthew Gross each finished with a hat trick, Jake Barrett scored two goals, and Connor Alballat and Ryan Spelts each had a goal to lead Grace Brethren to a 9-1 win over Villanova Prep in a Frontier League match. Santiago Saucedo scored the lone goal for the Wildcats.

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Abby Wood converted a penalty kick and Bella Castillo scored a goal off an assist from Tatiana Padilla to lead Buena (8-3-0, 5-2-0) to a 2-0 victory over Rio Mesa in a Channel League match. Tanaya Moreno, Natalie Garcia and Veronica Baehr played well for the Spartans (7-5-3, 2-2-2).

  • Sienna Pimental finished with a hat trick, Priscilla Martinez had a goal and an assist, Rhianna Golson and Sophia Cabrera scored goals, and Arlene Yepez had an assist to lead Oxnard (5-7-0, 4-2-0) to a 6-0 victory over Santa Barbara (0-8-0, 0-6-0) in a Channel League match.

  • Kaitlyn Wright score the game's only goal to lift Ventura (12-3-0, 5-1-0) to a 1-0 win over Dos Pueblos (3-5-3, 1-3-3) in a Channel League match.

  • Michelle Monroy scored the goal for Pacifica (5-3-1, 3-3-1) in its 2-1 loss to San Marcos (5-5-3, 2-3-2) in a Channel League match.

  • Nelissa Pulido, Erika Flores and Alondra Ordaz scored goals to lead unbeaten Santa Clara (7-0-1, 3-0-1) to a 3-1 win over Thacher in a Tri-Valley League match.

  • Jane Staley and Maggie Kearin each finished with hat tricks, Amanda Baucher scored two goals, and Jillian Estrada had a goal to lead La Reina to a 9-0 win over Villanova Prep in a Frontier League match.

BOYS WRESTLING

  • Jackson Riggio (106 pounds), Noah Kritscher (113), Stellan Niblett (182) and heavyweight Robert Svitek all won by pin to lead Thousand Oaks (10-6, 2-0) to a 46-28 victory over Calabasas in a Marmonte League meet.

  • Westlake defeated Agoura 47-27 in a Marmonte League meet.

  • Camarillo defeated Royal 51-27 in a Coastal Canyon League meet.

  • Newbury Park and Simi Valley tied 42-42 with the Panthers winning the meet by having the least amount of forfeited matches.

GIRLS WATER POLO

  • Eva Tully-Giles scored two goals and Ida Tully-Giles made 15 saves to lead Villanova Prep to a 5-3 win over Malibu in a Tri-Valley League game.

  • Izabel Magana had six steals and a goal for Santa Paula (7-8, 1-2) in its 15-1 loss to Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League game.
