BOYS TRACK AND FIELD

  • Ventura defeated host Buena 104-23 in a Channel League meet. Lucas Malone won the 1,600 (4:49.52). Anthony Fasthorse won the 400 (52.36), 800 (2:01.75) and 3,200 (10:07.41). Miles Becker won the 200 (23.57). Ellie Toumeh won the long jump (20-07.75) and triple jump (40-07.75). Wyatt Schrader won the shot put (51-08). Ian Hughes won the discus (147-03). For Buena, Colin Guenther won the 100 hurdles (15.90) and 300 hurdles (42.18). Caleb Stuart won the 100 (10.90). Grant Molina won the high jump (6-0).

  • Camarillo defeated Oak Park 99.5-27.5 in a Coastal Canyon League meet. Jacson Cutting won the 100 (11.39). Daniel Caldino won the 200 (23.33). Griffin Addison won the 400 (51.74). Eyouel Abate won the 800 (2:01.16). Diego Montag won the 1,600 (4:35.55). Cruise Chavez won the 3,200 (9:56.58). Bennett Pauli won the 110 hurdles (16.26). Jacob Salisbury won the 300 hurdles (43.85). Landon McDermott won the discus (111-03). Jelani Kawaichi won the triple jump (40-05.25). For Oak Park, Marcus Nicolas won the shot put (39-09) and John Baumann won the long jump (19-10.50).

  • Agoura defeated Westlake 70-66 65-62 in a Marmonte League meet. Luciano Siracusano won the 1,600 (4:28.05). Ryan Hernandez won the 110 hurdles (17.22) and 300 hurdles (44.05). Beau Lantz won the 400 (53.17). Dan Barreto won the 800 (2:01.62). Matthew Alpert won the 3,200 (10:00.82). Tyler Starling won the long jump (20-6). Cody Chen won the high jump (5-9). Jackson Nebeker won the pole vault (9-6). For Westlake, Brandon Orlow won the 100 (10.92). Marcus Nortey won the 200 (23.36). Micah Bennett won the triple jump (40-8). Adam Laycock won the shot put (41-4). Lawson Grace won the discus (107-4).

  • Fillmore defeated visiting Channel Islands 74-51 in a Citrus Coast League meet. Makhi Hooker won the 100 (12.17), high jump (5-6) and triple jump (37-01). John Hernandez won the 200 (24.83). Diego Amezcua won the long jump (19-04). Anthony Tafoya won the discus (121-02). For Channel Islands, Uriel Texis won the 800 (2:09.97), 1,600 (4:41.24) and 3,200 (10:21.47). Kevin Ramirez won the 110 hurdles (20.51) and 300 hurdles (48.49). Marco Tzinzun won the 400 (57.65). Andrew Botello won the shot put (40-06.50).

  • Santa Paula finished with 80 points, Malibu had 37 and Newbury Park Adventist had six in a three-team meet. For Santa Paula, Nathan Kendricks won the 400 (57.10) and long jump (18-02.50). Diego Rodriguez won the 800 (2:02.49) and 1,600 (4:32.83). Christopher Mijares won the 110 hurdles (19.19) and 300 hurdles (49.53). Arturo Alcaraz won the shot put (41-01.50) and discus (114-09). Anthony Mex won the high jump (5-02). Rodrigo Mendez won the triple jump (35-01).

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD

  • Ventura defeated host Buena 89-38 in a Channel League meet. Bailey Burman won the 1,600 (5:48.69). Donnea Prehn won the 100 hurdles (17.55) and 300 hurdles (51.05). Olivia Mobley won the 400 (61.71). Melanie True won the 800 (2:20.79). Violet Hurguy won the 3,200 (12:24.73). Valentina Fakrogha won the high jump (5-04). Isabella Di Silvestri won the triple jump (33-0). Jazmin Kinchlow won the shot put (28-03). Livia Vertuchci won the discus (97-06.50). For Buena, Maddy Easter won the 100 (12.46) and 200 (26.24). Savannah Sprinkle won the long jump (16-08.50).

  • Camarillo defeated Oak Park 103-33 in a Coastal Canyon League meet. Trinity Tipton broke the school record in the discus by winning with a throw of 140 feet, 3 inches. May Thayer won the 400 (60.87). Kimberly Willard won the 800 (2:23.41) and 3,200 (11:39.88). Monet Taylor won the 100 hurdles (17.75) and 300 hurdles (51.64). Ava Crouse won the shot put (37-10). Brooklyn Bell won the high jump (4-08). Alana Sugue won the pole vault (11-0), long jump (15-11.75) and triple jump (32-08.75). For Oak Park, Kymara Brodie won the 100 (12:01) and 200 (24.77). Katarina Modrzejewski won the 1,600 (5:26.51).

  • Westlake defeated Agoura 78-58 65-62 in a Marmonte League meet. Kenna Bradley won the 400 (59.21) and 800 (2:33.01). Rae Rae Castagna won the 3,200 (11:52.35). Amanda Eames won the long jump (15-2). LaRue Croom won the triple jump (33-7.50), shot put (27-3) and discus (74-8). Claudia Turner won the pole vault (10-0). For Agoura, Jenna Johnson won the 1,600 (5:38.81). Savannah Starling won the 100 (12.45), 200 (25.54), 100 hurdles (17.11) and 300 hurdles (47.49). Paloma Padilla-Kastenberg won the high jump (4-10).

  • Channel Islands defeated host Fillmore 65-62 in a Citrus Coast League meet. Yoseline Virgen won the 100 hurdles (19.38). LeShelle Lee won the 100 (14.14). Lizzie Brown won the 300 hurdles (58.21) and triple jump (28-00.50). Stephanie Alanis won the shot put (29-06) and discus (88-03). Jessica Perez won the high jump (4-0). For Fillmore, Nataly Vigil won the 800 (2:32.46), 1,600 (5:36.12) and 3,200 (12:27.83). Tiffany Velasco won the 400 (1:07.65). Karinna Magana won the 200 (29.57). Janessa Corona won the long jump (12-09).

  • Santa Paula finished with 90 points, Malibu had 23, La Reina had 11 and Newbury Park Adventist had two in a four-team meet. For Santa Paula, Lisset Magana won the 200 (27.05), 400 (1:01.49) and triple jump (32-03). Lindsey Ramirez won the 800 (2:32.72). Miahnna Galvan won the 3,200 (12:00.09), 100 hurdles (19.85) and 300 hurdles (56.73). Kaylee Reidmiller won the shot put (23-05) and discus (67-01.75). Aaliyah Kendricks won the high jump (4-04). Daisy Vaca won the long jump (14-11).

BASEBALL

  • Joseph Steventon allowed four hits while striking out six in six shutout innings, Quentin Young was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, Elijah Clayton had a double and two RBIs, James Latshaw went 1 for 3 with two RBIs, Jack Laubacher finished 1 for 1 with an RBI, and Christopher Tampoya was 1 for 2 with a double to lead Oaks Christian (7-5, 3-2) to a 7-0 victory over Newbury Park in a Marmonte League game.

  • Nolan Johnson finished 3 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs, Kaden Youmans had a homer and two RBIs, Dillon Marrisett was 2 for 4, Nate Franco hit a solo homer, and Josh Doyle allowed two hits and no earned runs while striking out six in six innings to lead Westlake (10-4, 4-1) to a 10-1 win over Agoura in a Marmonte League game.

  • Jordan Kingston allowed just two hits while striking out six in a complete-game performance, Phoenix Call was 3 for 3 with an RBI, and Sean Sims went 1 for 2 with two RBIs to lead Calabasas (10-5, 2-3) to a 4-1 win over Thousand Oaks (6-9, 2-3) in a Marmonte League game.

  • Josh Woodworth was 2 for 3 with a double, home run and three RBIs and Rudy Aldana went 2 for 3 with a double for Ventura in its 14-4 loss to Quartz Hill in a nonleague game.

SOFTBALL

  • Hallie Barlow was 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI, Jennifer Garcia finished 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, Laura Lynch went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Leea Martinez was 2 for 3 with an RBI, and Maria Castor had a double and two RBIs to lead St. Bonaventure (8-5, 3-1) to an 8-6 win over Grace Brethren in a Tri-Valley League game. Grace Maguire was 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Taylor Smith had a double and two RBIs for the Lancers (4-3, 1-1).

BOYS VOLLEYBALL

  • JP Mawas finished with 21 assists, Jonny Garcia and Donovan Aguilar each had seven kills, and Danny Guerrero added five kills to lead Oxnard (3-19, 3-6) to a 25-16, 25-23, 25-18 sweep of Ventura in a Channel League match.

  • JF Referente had 14 kills, 13 assists and six digs, Israel Alejos finished with nine kills and three aces, Ritchie Nojadera had eight kills, and Jason Mejia had 17 assists and 10 digs to lead Rio Mesa (5-3 in league) to a 25-23, 19-25, 25-19, 25-21 victory over Pacifica in a Channel League match.

  • Jack Nicks finished with 11 kills and three blocks, Nikko Songco had five kills and five aces, and Riley Braddock added four kills to lead Oak Park to a 25-14, 25-6, 25-10 sweep of Simi Valley in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • St. Bonaventure (14-4, 5-3) swept Dunn 25-11, 25-16, 25-17 in a Tri-Valley League match.

  • Spencer Jones had eight kills and four blocks for Foothill Tech (6-3, 4-3) in its 25-17, 18-25, 25-15, 25-18 loss to Bishop Diego in a Tri-Valley League match.

BOYS GOLF

  • Nick Waldock shot a 1-over 73 and Jared Abercrombie and Max Emberson each had a 76 as Oaks Christian posted a team score of 382 to take first place at the third Marmonte League tournament at River Ridge's Victoria Lakes Course. The Lions have won all three league tournaments so far this season. Gavin McCormick shot a 1-over 73 and Matthew Fisher had a 76 for second-place Thousand Oaks (392). Westlake and Agoura tied for third with a 397. Ryan Arnold shot a 1-over 73 and Dale Capewell had a 77 for the Chargers. Newbury Park was fifth with a 402 and Calabasas was sixth with a 414

  • Parker Schurer shot a 2-over 72 and Vineet Vallamsetty had a 74 to lead Oak Park (4-3, 4-2) to a 396-452 win over Moorpark in a Coastal Canyon League match at Los Robles Greens Golf Course. Kemper Wilson fired an even-par 70 to earn medalist honors for the Musketeers (0-7, 0-5).

  • Ian Chapital earned medalist honors by shooting a 74 and Nick Sawyer had a 78 to lead Rio Mesa to a 412-560 win over Channel Islands at River Ridge's Vineyard Golf Course. Eduardo Lazaro led the Raiders with a 106.

  • Rico Arce was the medalist with a 42 and Moises Gonzales followed with a 43 to lead Pacifica (2-6) to a 235-285 win over Hueneme (3-7) in a nonleague match at River Ridge's Vineyard Golf Course.

  • Thomas Chadbourne was the medalist with a 42 to lead Foothill Tech to a 245-256 win over Villanova Prep at Olivas Links Golf Course.

BOYS TENNIS

  • Oak Park defeated Moorpark 15-3 to improve to 5-0 in the Coastal Canyon League and 9-1 overall.

  • Oaks Christian defeated Thousand Oaks 11-7 to improve to 4-3 in the Marmonte League and 5-5 overall.
