Thursday's Top Prep Performers from volleyball, golf, cross country, tennis, water polo

Highlights from Thursday in high school sports:

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

  • Ella Buonauro had 10 assists and five aces, Emily Ford had seven kills, Leah Orsini had 10 digs, and Ayzlinn Trefren finished with four kills, nine digs and two aces to lead Royal (17-3, 3-0) to a 25-17, 27-25, 25-19 sweep of Moorpark in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Olivia Campisi had 14 kills and 11 digs, Alesia Thomas finished with 11 kills and nine digs, Camdyn Hodgins had 24 digs and five aces, Kezia Bocasan had 39 assists and eight digs, Abby Montana had seven kills and five blocks, and Brenna Delle Donne had four digs and an ace to lead Simi Valley (3-0 in league) to a 25-17, 24-26, 22-25, 25-15, 15-7 victory over Oak Park in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Addison Benson finished with 29 kills to lead Newbury Park to a 23-25, 25-19, 26-24, 25-21 victory over Thousand Oaks in a Marmonte League match. Kayleigh May had 35 assists, Leah Curtin finished with 23 kills and Mia Paculan had 20 digs for the Lancers (12-6, 3-2).

  • Matilda Greulach had five aces and 10 kills, Alexis O’Keefe finished with nine kills, Makena Biondi had six blocks, Laurel Barsochinni added 20 digs, and Piper Grant had 16 assists to lead Agoura to a 25-5, 25-21, 25-16 sweep of Calabasas in a Marmonte League match.

  • Jada Stone had five kills and 31 assists, Anika Huelskamp finished with 16 kills and 15 digs, and Laney Ramirez added five kills to lead Oxnard (11-6, 6-3) to a 25-18, 25-15, 25-19 sweep of Ventura in a Channel League match.

  • Katherine Martinez finished with 23 assists and seven digs, Jill Lan had nine kills, Daniella Cervantes had five kills, Julia Dal Pozzo added four kills, and Samantha Medina had six digs to lead Rio Mesa (5-14, 2-7) to a 25-16, 25-15, 25-16 sweep of Pacifica in a Channel League match.

  • Shai Daniels finished with 10 kills, Sydney Davis had 17 assists and Gracie Piro had 13 digs for Buena in its 25-9, 25-13, 25-23 loss to Dos Pueblos in a Channel League match.

  • St. Bonaventure defeated Grace Brethren in four sets to improve to 4-1 in Tri-Valley League play.

  • Sarah Shaw had four blocks and 18 kills, Morgan Conway finished with three aces and 12 digs, and Reagan Maguire had eight kills, five digs and 24 assists to lead La Reina to a 25-8, 25-18, 27 victory over Cate in a Tri-Valley League match. On Wednesday, the Regents defeated Foothill Tech in four sets. Shaw finished with 21 kills and four blocks, Logan Burns had six kills and seven aces, Maddy Dodd had three kills and four aces, and Conway contributed 13 digs and two aces.

  • Villanova Prep swept Dunn 21-10, 25-21, 25-21 in a Frontier League match.

GIRLS GOLF

  • Mary Heldwein shot a 42 to help Nordhoff earn first place with a team score of 248 in the first Citrus Coast League tournament at par-35 Buenaventura Golf Course. Paula Quiatchon was the medalist with a 39 for second-place Hueneme (278). Sofia Manzano shot a 49 for third-place Santa Paula (290). Sophia Sabag had a 54 for fourth-place Malibu (300). April Rivera shot a 55 for fifth-place Channel Islands (309). Jamaica Cook shot a 41 for sixth-place Carpinteria (310). Presley McLain had a 49 for seventh-place Fillmore (311).

  • Kira Reisner shot a 1-under 34, Jiya Dalal had an even-par 35 and Kiley Reisner finished with a 37 as Simi Valley (5-2, 2-2) finished with a school-record team total in its 190-217 win over Camarillo in a Coastal Canyon League match at Spanish Hills Country Club. Mei Li Root led the Scorpions (6-3, 3-3) with a 39.

  • Sailor Graham was the medalist with a 3-under 32, Joanna Hong had a 1-under 34 and Lily Huynh shot a 37 to lead Oak Park (6-1, 6-0) to an 182-277 victory over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League match at Simi Hills Golf Course. Emily Scully shot a 54 for the Highlanders.

  • Mathea Sagel was medalist with a 37, Maddy Lockmann shot a 39 and Addison Kloch finished with a 40 to lead Agoura (6-1, 3-1) to a 224-237 win over Thousand Oaks in a Marmonte League match at Camarillo Springs Golf Course. Grace Williams shot a 43 and Claire Kirby had a 45 for the Lancers (4-6, 1-3).

  • Alisa Barry was the medalist with a 35 and Catz Laranang and Jade Stipkovich each shot a 44 to lead Oaks Christian (6-1, 4-0) to a 213-273 win over Calabasas in a Marmonte League match at Sterling Hills Golf Club. Sadie Johnson led the Coyotes (2-4, 1-3) with a 39.

  • Piper Singleton shot a 44, Audrey Yoong had a 46 and Bella Baum had a 58 for Foothill Tech, which earned a forfeit win over Bishop Diego (only three players) at Olivas Links Golf Course.

BOYS CROSS COUNTRY

  • Noah de la Rionda finished first in a time of 15:59.2 and Samuel Bado was second in 16:22.6 to lead Royal to a first-place team finish at the first Coastal Canyon League meet of the season at Oak Canyon Park. Hunter Lee was third in 16:23.6 for second-place Moorpark. Royal’s Jonah Bazerkanian was fourth in 16:26.9 and Asher Lee took fifth in 16:37.0. Moorpark’s Tyler Smith placed sixth in 16:44.7 and David Raigoza was seventh in 16:44.9. Luc Lepin finished eighth in 16:48.3 and Grant Jones was ninth in 16:59.7 for third-place Oak Park. Trevor Stimpson placed 10th in 17:06.6 for fourth-place Camarillo. Jonathan Castro finished 20th in 17:42.2 for fifth-place Simi Valley.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

  • Katarina Modrzejewski was first overall in 19:33.2 and Tate Creason was second in 20:03.1 to lead Oak Park to a first-place team finish at the first Coastal Canyon League meet of the season at Oak Canyon Park. Samantha Maggiora finished third in 20:12.8 for second-place Moorpark. Kimberly Willard was fourth in 20:25.3 for third-place Camarillo. Kristen Gibbel of Moorpark placed fifth in 20:38.9. Oak Park’s Michelle Vu was sixth in 20:46.5 and Allyson Youde placed seventh in 20:57.2. Moorpark’s Miriam McGregor finished eighth in 21:15.6 and Lea Lopp took ninth in 21:20.8. Angelica Espinoza placed 10th in 21:25.1 for fourth-place Simi Valley. Camila Carrion was 16th in 21:58.6 for fifth-place Royal.

GIRLS TENNIS

  • Camarillo defeated Moorpark 16-2 in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Oak Park defeated Royal 17-1 in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Newbury Park defeated Oaks Christian (2-3, 1-1) 78-73 in games after the teams tied in sets at 9-9 in a Marmonte League match.

  • Nicole Iannacone and Annaliese Farwell each swept their singles sets to lead Villanova Prep to a 15-3 win over Dunn in a Frontier League match.

BOYS WATER POLO

  • Levi Cook scored five goals, Braden Baumann, Grayson Ing and Tobey Chow each had two goals, and Keegan Fish added a goal to lead Newbury Park to a 12-8 win over Agoura in a Marmonte League opener.

  • Rio Mesa defeated Camarillo 9-8 in double overtime.

  • Andrew Smith scored eight goals and Luke Fogg had five goals to lead Calabasas to a 23-3 win over Hueneme.

  • Jonas Rutherford scored three goals to lead Villanova Prep to an 8-5 win over Bishop Diego in a Frontier League game.
