Four of the University of Alabama’s seven home football games have already sold out of tickets less than two months before the 2023 season begins, according to UA’s athletics department.

The sold-out games include the Texas Longhorns’ first-ever visit to Tuscaloosa, along with key matchups against SEC rivals Ole Miss, Tennessee and LSU. Season ticket packages are also sold out as coach Nick Saban begins his 17th season at Alabama.

Meanwhile, UA put single-game tickets for the three other games — Middle Tennessee State, Arkansas and Chattanooga — up for sale on July 10 at its website, www.rolltide.com.

The high demand for home games and the scarcity of tickets means that fans who want to spend Saturday inside Bryant-Denny Stadium better have a little jingle, as the lyrics to “Dixieland Delight” say.

Make that a lot of jingle — more than $700 per ticket — if you want the best seats for those four marquee matchups.

Here’s a look at UA football ticket prices on the online resale market, according to UA’s preferred vendor, seatgeek.com (Note that these prices will likely fluctuate as game day draws closer):

The marquee matchups

The Sept. 9 game against the Longhorns will bring Texas-size ticket prices. The cheapest seat costs $250, while seats in the lower bowl at midfield on the Alabama side are going for around $800.

Kickoff for the Alabama-Texas game is set for 6 p.m.

The Sept. 23 SEC opener against Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels will cost $108 to get in and $413 for a 50-yard line seat.

Tennessee, fresh from breaking a 15-year losing streak to Alabama last season, returns to Tuscaloosa on Oct. 21 for the traditional Third Saturday in October game. Tickets range from around $200 to more than $700 for 50-yard line seats, cigars not included.

And the Nov. 4 game against LSU has a ticket range from $166 to more than $700 for midfield seats. Fun fact: The winner of the Alabama-LSU has advanced to the SEC Championship Game for each of the last five seasons.

Homecoming

The Oct. 14 homecoming game against Arkansas might be the best value for ticket-buyers. Upper deck tickets purchased from UA cost $80, while SeatGeek has a $62 get-in price and nearly $300 for 50-yard line seats.

Before the game, UA will hold a free homecoming parade that begins in downtown Tuscaloosa.
