The early bird gets the worm — and on Tuesday an opportunity to buy tickets for the Nov. 5 Chiefs-Dolphins game in Frankfurt, Germany.

Those tickets will go on sale at noon Central European Summer Time in Germany, which is 5 a.m. in Kansas City.

There are seven categories of seat locations at Deutsche Bank Park, where the game will be played, and the price for tickets ranges from roughly $82 to $245. Some of those locations include half-price tickets for kids under the age of 16.

Here’s what to know about getting tickets on Tuesday.

Registration required

Fans can’t simply go to the Chiefs’ website and purchase them. The first step is to register with the NFL, and that will give fans the opportunity to buy tickets. Fans are supposed to have registered here.

Registering for tickets also won’t guarantee the opportunity to buy them. Officials in Germany said they could have sold 3 million tickets for last year’s Buccaneers-Seahawks game in Munich.

Demand for a game with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Super Bowl champion Chiefs also likely will be great.

Wheelchair seats

The NFL said a “limited number of Ambulant/Wheelchair spaces and personal assistant seats (are) available to purchase over the telephone via Ticketmaster Call Center when the sale starts.” This is the phone number to use: (+49) 01806-999 0000.

Ticket backup plan

If you are unable to purchase tickets for the game, the NFL’s OnLocation service will be selling travel packages to Germany. It will include tickets to the game, airfare and more. You can find information on that here.

If last season’s game in Munich is a guide, tickets also will be available on the secondary market. But a year ago, those ticket prices were more than 10 times more expensive than face value in some cases.

Kickoff time

The Chiefs-Dolphins contest will count as one of Kansas City’s nine home games in the 2023 season. Kickoff for the Nov. 5 game will be at 8:30 a.m. in Kansas City. That’s early, but not for those people who will be buying tickets next week.
