Tickets, costs and more: Everything to know about new beer festival near Rockford

A new beer festival is coming to Roscoe, joining the ranks of several Rockord-area beer-related events like Screw City Beer Fest, Hanz Brew Fest and others.

Here's everything you need to know about the first ever Pour in the Park OctoBEERfest.

When is the beer festival?

Sunday, Oct. 22.

Where is the festival located?

The event will be at Leland Park, 5727 Broad St., in Roscoe.

What's the schedule?

Gates open at 11 a.m. for VIP ticket holders. General admission begins at noon.

Is there a cost for admission?

Tickets are $50 each, or $75 for VIP, which gets you early access, special drink selections and entry into to the VIP Lounge. There’s also a “6-Pack Deal” that includes two free tickets with purchase of four.

What kind of beer will be featured?

Pour in the Park will feature beer two dozen beers from breweries in Wisconsin, Germany, Mexico and Boston. There will also be a variety of ciders, seltzers and wines.

Will there be food and entertainment?

The festival features a variety of food vendors, live music and games.

Who helped organized the event?

Local event organizers partnered with Benny's in Roscoe to help make the event possible.

Are there any partnerships?

Yes, the event is partnering with Leland Park, which hosts baseball games every weeknight for about five months of the year. The partnership allows volunteer opportunities to the program to help offset the loss of concessions this year when lights were knocked down during a spring storm.
