Tickets for Gonzaga vs. Baylor at Sanford Pentagon go on sale Thursday

Tickets for a marquee NCAA Championship rematch between Baylor men's basketball and Gonzaga at Sanford Pentagon go on sale Thursday.

The Ticketmaster sale begins at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6 for the Friday, December 2 game, which tips at 7 p.m. The game was two years in the making for the Sanford Pentagon, who were in the running for the neutral site game in 2020, vice president of Sanford Sports Jesse Smith told the Argus Leader in May. Indianapolis' Bankers Life Fieldhouse won the bid, but a positive COVID-19 test canceled the game hours before tipoff.

Tickets can be purchased on the Ticketmaster website.

The Sioux Falls venue was able to "pivot," and on Dec. 19, 2020, the then-No. 1 Bulldogs played and defeated the then-No. 3 Iowa Hawkeyes 99-88. Sanford Pentagon couldn't host fans for the game, but have hosted more major college games in the past, most recently welcoming Iowa for a game against Utah State last year.

"To have this come back around is just an incredible feeling," Smith said in May. "I'm super excited for the fans in this region to be able to experience this and see these teams on Heritage Court."
