It’s go time for audiences eager to see the hit Broadway musical “Hamilton” when it returns to Tampa’s David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts in December. Single tickets go on sale Thursday. The show runs from Dec. 28 through Jan. 22, 2023.

Lin-Manuel Miranda’s smash musical combines hip-hop, R&B, jazz and Broadway music to tell the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. It has won Tony, Grammy and Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and an unprecedented special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

There is a maximum purchase limit of eight tickets per account. When they first go on sale, prices will range from $49 to $169, with a select number of premium seats available from $229 for all performances. There will be a lottery for 40 $10 seats for all performances. Details will be announced closer to the show’s opening.

Tickets go on sale at noon and may be purchased online at strazcenter.org, in person at the Straz Center ticket sales office or by calling 813-229-7827.

A news release announcing the sale advised buying tickets only from the Straz Center because of fraudulent ticket sites.
