Tickets, parking, main events and more: What to know about the 2023 Winnebago County Fair

The last of the major county fairs in the Rockford area kicks off this week.

The Winnebago County Fair begins Wednesday.

Here's what you need to know about this year's fair from ticket prices, parking, grandstand events and more.

When is the Winnebago County Fair?

Wednesday, Aug. 16 through Sunday, Aug. 20.

Where is the fair located?

The fair is located at 500 W. First St., Pecatonica.

What are the hours of the fair?

Noon to 11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

How much do general admission tickets cost?

General admission is $5 Wednesday and Thursday and $7 Friday through Sunday. Children ages 8 and under are free every day of the fair while kids 9 to 12 are $3 Wednesday and Sunday; $5 Friday and Saturday; and free on Thursday. Entry for seniors 60 and older are $3 Thursday and Sunday; $5 Friday and Saturday; and free on Wednesday.

How much does parking for the fair cost?

There's no cost to park at the fair.

  • 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16: Queen Pageant & Little Miss Pageant (Moss Hall)

  • 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16: Winnebago County Fair Pro Rodeo

  • 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 17: Truck Races

  • 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18: Badger State Hot Rod Tractor Pulls

  • 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 19: Illini State Pullers, Truck and Tractor Pull

  • 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20: Demo Derby

What other entertainment events are happening at the fair?

There are tons of other events happening throughout the course of the fair, including the carnival, lumberjack shows, livestock and more. There will also be live music multiple days throughout the course of the fair. Here's a look at some of the performers for this year at the entertainment tent:
