Tickets remain on sale for the inaugural Mayor’s Memorial Day Bash on Saturday at the Mort Glosser Amphiteatre.

Eddie Montgomery of Montgomery Gentry is the headline act, with local favorites DJ Chad Ellis of Ellis Entertainment, Jenn and Mike of New Delusions and Courtney Linam and Still Broke Band setting the musical mood beforehand.

The event is the first in what is projected to be an annual event, according to a news release from the city.

“I wanted to have an event to honor our heroes, and I also wanted everyone to have some fun as we start the long holiday weekend,” Mayor Craig Ford said. “The historic amphitheater is a great location because it is large enough to host, but intimate enough for a one-of-a-kind experience. Plus, it's all steps away from the beautiful Coosa River."

Local food trucks and beverage stations will provide a variety of refreshments for those attending.
