Tickets to this Sacramento Zoo event cost $300 per person. Here’s where the money will go

The Sacramento Zoo is inviting the community for an elegant night under the stars this fall — and the price to attend isn’t cheap.

Tickets to the Twilight Safari Gala start at $300 per person, according to the Sacramento Zoo.

VIP tables for a group of 10 people cost $5,000.

All proceeds from the gala will go towards constructing the new zoo in Elk Grove, which may begin later this year. The new location could feature savannas, animal feeding stations and overnight luxury tent cabins.

The gala is from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 3930 W Land Park Drive. Guests will have access to a variety of drinks and appetizers and live music from Sacramento band Peter Petty and His Terpsichoreans.
