Oct. 26—Dr. Vin Gupta, a respected, national medical correspondent who is often featured on NBC and MSNBC, will share his experiences and insight as the featured presenter for Tyler Junior College's Powerful Voices speaker series Thursday, Nov. 2, on the TJC central campus.
Technology and artificial intelligence are playing ever-increasing roles in the advancement of healthcare delivery and patient care. With nearly two decades of experience as a renowned health policy expert and clinician, Gupta operates at the cutting edge of healthcare and technology — and his forward-looking insights inspire leaders and organizations to pave the way for innovation and success.
During a midday session for students, he will speak to TJC's aspiring healthcare professionals concerning how healthcare innovations affect future career opportunities in medical fields.
At 7 p.m. that evening in Wise Auditorium in the Rogers Palmer Performing Arts Center, Gupta will address the community regarding technological advances and other healthcare innovations affecting society.
In his discussion, Gupta will address how artificial intelligence is impacting the field of medicine today and offer his perspective on its evolution for tomorrow.
He will explore the next generation of at-home medical diagnostics that will transform virtual telemedicine and primary care delivery and describe the patient journey from diagnosis to treatment.
He will also examine the movement toward digitizing healthcare and offer advice on best practices for effective healthcare communication in order to build a stronger level of patient trust.
