Advance tickets to see country music singer Jackson Dean with special guest Caitlyn Smith in concert Aug. 5 at the Monroe County Fair go on sale this morning along with tickets for virtually all grandstand shows during fair week, July 30-Aug. 5.

Dean and Smith will perform at 8 p.m. on the final day of the fair in the grandstand. Tickets are $40 for reserved seats in the bleachers or to stand on the track in front of the stage. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the show, and patrons are reminded that tickets do not include admission at the fair gates or additional processing fees.

Darryl Diamond, fair manager, said the two performers are very talented and will woo audiences with their skills and personalities.

“They’re both really good,” Diamond said Monday. “In a couple of years, Jackson will be untouchable for us (financially).”

People can buy tickets online at etix.com, by phone at 800-514-3849 or in person at the fair box office, 3775 S. Custer Road (M-50). The office is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Tickets to see American rapper and singer Yung Gravy in concert at 8 p.m. July 31 in the grandstand with special guest bbno$ aka (baby no money) went on sale April 24. Tickets for the show are $60 for standing on the track and $45 for reserved bleacher seats.

The traditional second derby show held at 9 p.m. at past fairs was dropped due to declining entries. By holding one show, the fair can provide an attractive and more compelling show, Diamond said.

“It will be better overall and logistically,” he said. “There will be no rushing in between shows.”

The fair is looking for 12-15 volunteers to assist with the grandstand shows on Monday, July 31; Tuesday, Aug. 1; and Saturday, Aug. 5. Anyone interested can call the fair office at 734-241-5775.

Following are evening grandstand shows planned during fair week:
