Tie the knot at Dontino's, get hitched at Hale Farm: Akron court reserves marriage spots
Local couples can tie the knot at a historic farm, an Italian restaurant or a park lodge.
These are a few of the eight locations where the Akron Municipal Court will offer off-site weddings in January through March.
The weddings will be:
Jan. 20 at Jilly’s Music Room, 111 N. Main St. in Akron.
Jan. 23 at Springfield Township’s Center on the Lake, 2491 Canfield Road, an indoor venue that overlooks Springfield Lake and a gazebo.
Jan. 31 at Hale Farm & Village, 2686 Oak Hill Road in Bath Township.
Feb. 3 at the Holiday Inn Akron-West, 4073 Medina Road in Akron. The theme is “A Princess For A Day,” and will celebrate Black History Month.
Feb. 14 (Valentine's Day) at the Akron Civic Theatre, 182 S. Main St. in Akron..
March 1 at Dontino’s Italian Restaurant, 555 E. Cuyahoga Falls Ave. in Akron. Will be in the banquet room.
March 20 at Shady Hollow Lodge, 1750 Sand Run Parkway in Akron. This is the first day of spring.
March 30 at the Rialto Theatre, 1000 Kenmore Blvd. in Akron. This will mark 330 Day.
Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis. The fee is $25 for those who are in the court’s jurisdiction and $40 for those who are not. The jurisdiction is: Akron, Fairlawn, Bath, Richfield, Springfield Township, Lakemore and the Summit County portion of Mogadore.
The Akron court is now regularly offering weddings at off-site locations and to mark special occasions and holidays.
