Tiger Woods names ex-Sac State golfer Aaron Beverly as Charlie Sifford Exemption to Genesis Invitational

Former Sacramento State golfer Aaron Beverly’s golf dreams came true with the help of golf star Tiger Woods. Woods took to Twitter to announce Beverly as the recipient of the Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption into the Genesis Invitational. The Sifford exemption has been given to a golfer representing a minority background to play in the annual PGA Tour event since 2009. Beverly will join the 120–player field at the Riviera County Club in Los Angeles on Feb. 17 to 20.
