Paramount Plus has released the official trailer for the new animated film “The Tiger’s Apprentice,” along with first-look images.

Action-packed preview: The trailer showcases a scene in which Chinese American teenager Tom Lee (Brandon Soo Hoo) discovers his magical powers for the first time and meets a mythical tiger named Hu (Henry Golding), who informs him of his lineage of protectors known as the Guardians. With Hu's guidance, Tom trains to confront the powerful and malevolent force Loo (Michelle Yeoh), who aims to use magic to destroy humanity. Tom ventures on a journey to reunite the 12 Zodiac animal warriors and master his newfound abilities in order to defeat Loo.

Star-studded voice cast: Along with Soo Hoo, Golding and Yeoh, the star-studded voice cast includes Lucy Liu, Sandra Oh, Bowen Yang, Jo Koy, Leah Lewis, Sherry Cola, Greta Lee, Kheng Hua Tan, Poppy Liu, Diana Lee Inosanto, Deborah S. Craig and Patrick Gallagher.

About the film: Slated for release on Paramount Plus on Feb. 2, “The Tiger’s Apprentice” is based on the 2003 novel of the same title by Laurence Yep. The film is directed by Raman Hui and produced by Jane Startz, Sandra Rabins and Bob Persichetti, with Maryann Garger, Kane Lee and Carlos Baena serving as executive producers.
