**Spoiler Alert: This article contains the answer to Wordle #246. Read on if you've solved it or don't mind finding out.**

Wordle might want to consider adding a definition feature to its game after one of its latest answers left players particularly puzzled.

It all began on Saturday when the strategic word game came out with a new five-letter secret word. After “shake” caused a ruckus on Twitter before the weekend, Wordle got even more challenging when the answer to #246 puzzle was a word lots of folks hadn’t heard of before — “tacit.”

Though a good amount of players figured out the secret word through trial and error, many weren’t super excited to celebrate their victory. Why? Well, they didn’t know what the word meant. Among those perplexed was a participant who took to TikTok for answers, and she wasted no time asking for assistance. “Can someone please use ‘tacit’ in a sentence. I’m begging,” she wrote in an eight-second clip set to Queen’s song “Bohemian Rhapsody.”

While there were players who immediately posted their best sentence using the secret word, there were others who didn’t try to hide their disappointment over the spoiler. “There was a tacit agreement that bound everyone to not [talk] about the day’s Wordle until the end of the day,” one person wrote.

In case you’re still wondering, Merriam Webster defines tacit as an adjective with two similar meanings: 1) expressed or carried on without words or speech 2) implied or indicated (as by an act or by silence) but not actually expressed.

Definitions aside, some were more concerned about how difficult they found the word to be. “I got TA_IT and went through each letter until it finally told me ‘tacit’ was a word,” a different player said. “Was not happy about this word. Not happy at all,” another added. “IVE NEVER BEEN SO ANGRY AT A WORD,” a TikTok user commented.

That said, there were players who counted themselves lucky for getting it right within their six tries. “IDK how I got it correct?! Never heard of the word in my life 😂 😂,” someone else wrote.
