When user @leacrylics noticed her skin looking noticeably clearer after a trip to the beach, she decided to put a theory to the test: The sea salt in the ocean water was actually keeping her acne at bay.

In her now-viral TikTok video explaining the acne hack, @leacrylics explains that she went on Amazon and ordered regular, plain ol’ sea salt. She mixes it with warm water and sprays it on her face daily. And she claims it makes a big difference in the appearance of her skin. Not only are the breakouts less severe, but old acne scars seem to be fading. Pretty impressive, right?

Can’t seem to find anything to keep your skin clear? For just $3.25 (plus the price of a spray bottle if you don’t already own one), you can put this TikTok acne hack to the test for yourself.
