The TikTok was uploaded on May 22 by Australian content creators Maison and Mai. The couple runs the TikTok account @savingforboba, which is known for its playful, comedy life hacks.

“The secondhand embarrassment tho,” the caption of the video reads.

Reactions: The video, which has since garnered 850,000 views, has prompted mixed reactions from viewers.

While some users described the man as “smart,” others were not amused by his cost-saving measure on a product that is already fairly cheap. Some people argued for the woman to “break up” with him, while others said he is worth marrying.
