TikToker and his pet monkey are the best of friends

If you don’t already follow Mojo the monkey now, just wait.

Mojo’s owners Carlos and Lauren document his life to their 803,000 TikTok followers. Mojo seems to be fully integrated into the pair’s home in Alabama — so much so that he’s even comfortable dancing on Carlos’ head while he tries to work from home.

Carlos and Mojo are truly the best of buds.

In the account’s most popular video, Carlos holds Mojo in the palm of his hand over a soapy bath in the sink. As Carlos gently strokes Mojo’s head, Mojo closes his eyes and relaxes. It’s so sweet.

The video racked up 8.6 million views on TikTok.

“Anybody else want to be pampered like this?” one TikTok user commented.

“He looks so calm like meditating or something,” another person added.

“He definitely passed the vibe check,” someone said.

While most monkeys cannot be kept as pets there are seven kinds you can keep legally in the U.S. like capuchins, marmosets and squirrel monkeys. However, most people will find the animals are incredibly expensive and high maintenance to care for, no matter how cute they are. Ultimately, these are still wild animals that are not meant to be domesticated and therefore can even sometimes be dangerous to humans.

The best thing you can do is enjoy the creatures from afar. Perhaps, that’s why so many people love Mojo.
