Tim McGraw Goes out of His Way to See His Daughters’ Rock Concerts
Sure, he’s a Grammy-award winning musician, but when it comes to his kids, Tim McGraw is just like the rest of us.
Backstage at Hometown Rising in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday, the 52-year-old country singer told Taste of Country that he makes it a point to see his two oldest daughters perform live—no easy feat for an A-lister like himself.
McGraw and his wife Faith Hill have three daughters, Gracie, 22, Maggie, 21, and Audrey, 17. Like their parents, all three of them are reportedly talented performers. Both Gracie and Maggie are, or have been, in rock bands.

Though neither of them plan to pursue music professionally, it’s clear it’s in their blood.
Gracie recently moved to Los Angeles to become an actor. She and her dad made headlines earlier this summer after a video of them singing during a road trip west from Nashville went viral. "She's very good," McGraw said proudly.
"She's 22, and on one hand, it's sad," he says of her moving away, "but on the other hand to have the gumption to go out and chase your dreams… it feels like we did a pretty good job.”

In high school, Gracie was in an alt-rock band called Tingo. And since starting college at Stanford, his middle daughter Maggie has joined a rock group, too.

"I haven't missed a club show yet," McGraw told Taste of Country. "There's been a few frat party shows that I've missed of Maggie's out there in Palo Alto, but I try to make every show that I can."
