Good morning, everyone, and welcome to the start of another week – but more importantly, let’s take a moment to remember the life of American hero Martin Luther King Jr. He was a man of many great words, but perhaps none sum up him and his philosophy as succinctly as these: “The time is always right to do what is right.”

Before we head into next week, let’s cuddle up by a cozy fire and catch up on the week's biggest stories. Not surprisingly, COVID topped the news yet again, as Fall River marked its worst period of the pandemic by far. Meanwhile, an Italian restaurant is opening its doors to customers, along with new eateries in Somerset, a shady COVID testing site was closed, and more. Check out what you may have missed, right here.

Saturday saw a rally calling for justice in the shadow of Fall River’s police headquarters. Among chants of “justice for Anthony,” the family and dozens of supporters of Anthony Harden, shot and killed late last year by an unidentified female city police officer, demanded that the Bristol County district attorney and the Fall River Police Department release details of the death investigation during a peaceful rally in Britland Park. Keep an eye on this important story, and see video and photos right here.

And photo editor Colin Furze has assembled another great collection of archive photos from Fall River’s past – a step backward to the city’s glory days in black-and-white. From tragedies to snapshots of everyday life, take a look.
