The Big 12 champions return to the field Saturday to face a college football blueblood.

No. 9 Kansas State takes on No. 5 Alabama in the 2022 Sugar Bowl at 11 a.m. CT. ESPN will televise the game, but fans can also stream using the Watch ESPN app.

Kansas State (10-3, 7-2 in the Big 12) rattled off four straight wins to get to this point, including a resounding 31-28 victory over TCU in the Big 12 Championship game. Running back Deuce Vaughn has been electric for the Wildcats this year, totaling 1,803 yards from scrimmage and 11 total touchdowns.

For Alabama (10-2, 6-2 in the SEC), this isn't the season fans hoped for. The Crimson Tide won their first six games, but losses to Tennessee and LSU ultimately squashed any playoff appearance hopes. Alabama's offense isn't as potent as years past, but the Crimson Tide still have one of the country's best quarterbacks in Bryce Young (3,007 passing yards, 27 passing touchdowns).

Saturday marks the first matchup between these programs.
