MORTON – Sucré Sweets and Socials recently welcomed Zo and Dani Evans as its new owners.

The business began as an event space with a small candy shop in 2017. Over the years, Sucré evolved to focus on its sweet shop operations, and in May 2023, the business settled into a new in-person location at 105 S. Main St.

Former owner Keely LeTourneau reminisced on the past six and a half years in a Dec. 29 Facebook post. She thanked customers and staff for their support and wrote that it was “time to pass the torch.”

The post also announced that the business had been sold.

“We hope you show them the love and support that you’ve shown us thru the years,” LeTouneau wrote. “We will miss every single one of you and carry Sucré in our hearts forever.  Thank you!”

Less than a week later, the business introduced the Evans family as its new owners. The Jan. 4 post said the family held their daughter’s baby shower at the original location and later “began frequenting the shop” because of its diverse menu, which accommodated various dietary needs.

“We wish Keely and Ryan the best in their next chapter and look forward to carrying on their legacy with some great memories of our own!” The Evans family wrote in the announcement.
