'Time to Run': California's KNP Complex Fire Grows to Nearly 80,000 Acres

Thick plumes of smoke billowed from the KNP Complex Fire burning in the Sequoia National Park, California, on October 4, as firefighters continued to fight the 79,382-acre blaze.

Footage shared by timber feller Brennen Miller shows huge plumes of smoke billowing skyward. Miller can be heard saying “time to run”, as he films the smoke.

The KNP Complex Fire, burning in the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park and Sequoia National Forest, was 11 percent contained as of October 5, fire officials said.
