Timelapse Captures 10 Minutes of Continuous Lightning in Jefferson County, Missouri

Dramatic lightning flashed across Jefferson County, Missouri, on July 21, with the National Weather Service (NWS) uploading a timelapse video of the electric storm.

The footage of the storm shows lightning flashes illuminating the night sky. The NWS commented, “It’s sped up of course, but that’s what about 10 minutes of continuous lightning looks like!”

The NWS had issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area in the early hours of July 21.
