A Tasmanian man captured the Milky Way in all its beauty in timelapse footage shared to Instagram on September 15.
This footage by Ben Swanson shows the transition from sunset to starry night sky, as seen from Honeymoon Bay in Freycinet National Park. After a glorious display of the Milky Way, the stars fade and the sun rises.
“With the 2021 Milky Way Season slipping away I found myself at Honeymoon Bay in Tasmania’s Freycinet National Park to capture this all-night time lapse,” he wrote on Instagram. “This sequence was shot over a 15-hour period and is made from 3400 photos.” Credit: Ben Swanson via Storyful
