Timelapse Videos Capture Dazzling Light Show Over Alberta
A Canadian photographer captured a shimmering light show over Alberta in mid March.
Siv Heang Tav, who shot this footage on March 13, told Storyful she drove south of her home in Calgary in search of “a view of open, clear skies.”
“When I arrived at an abandoned barn and met up with two of my friends, the pillars of light from the aurora had already begun, peeking out from the clouds, and dancing for about an hour before slowing down,” she said.
The trio moved to another barn where they were greeted by “a vibrant purple ribbon with green picket-fence-shaped aurora spanning the night sky from east to west.” Credit: Siv Heang Tav via Storyful
