Afida Turner, the widow of Tina Turner’s son Ronnie, wants to use her late husband’s frozen sperm to help his legacy and their love live on following his sudden death last year.

The singer and actress, 46, told People that she hopes to have a child with the last piece of Turner, who died of colon cancer in December at age 62. Ronnie was the only biological son of Ike and Tina Turner, the latter of whom passed away less than six months after her son.

Revealing she’s “still very depressed” and “trying not to lose [her] mind” after the immense losses, Afida is holding on to the goal of bringing Ronnie’s child into the world.

Noting her age, Afida said if she’s able, she’s “going to have Ronnie’s baby!”

“At least I will have a little one that looks like Ronnie. A monster like me and him, can you imagine?” she joked.

Afida remembers her husband, who was three years sober when he died, as “a big character with big energy and craziness who was perfect.”

“I won’t ever find another man like that in my life,” she told People of Ronnie, who was diagnosed with late-stage metastatic colon cancer last year. He died one week before when he would have started chemotherapy.

“It’s a punishment. Morning and night, I’m crying and screaming,” Afida told the magazine.

Afida and Ronnie tied the knot in “a very small wedding” in 2007, at which point she said they “didn’t have no f—king money.”

“You have to really make sure you appreciate loved ones,” she said. “You never know when’s the last time you see them.”
