Fort Worth is finally thawing after nearly five days of ice.

Families have been stuck at home with the kids for four or five days. Now that the sun’s out, you might be looking for something — anything — to get you out of the house.

Here are a few things to check out in Fort Worth on Friday and Saturday.

Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo

Saturday is the last day of the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, but there’s still a packed schedule for its last two days.

On Friday, “Yellowstone” show creator Taylor Sheridan and cast member Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler on the show, will be at Will Rogers Memorial Center to sign autographs at the 6666 Ranch booth from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The 6666 booth is near the south end of Aisle 700 in the Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall.

Fans will get a chance to meet Sheridan and Hauser as the two sign autographs, just steps away from a “Yellowstone” clothing booth. The event is free and open to the public.

The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s ProRodeo Tournament semifinals will happen 7:30 p.m. Friday at Dickies Arena. The ProRodeo finals will happen at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Saturday will also be the Junior Sale of Champions Auction at 9 a.m. in the West Arena. Last year’s Grand Champion Steer, a black cross named Steve raised by Tristan Himes, broke the stock show’s record, selling for $310,000.

Tristan Himes, 17, of Sterling City looks out over the arena before walking out with Steve, named the Grand Champion in the Junior Steer competition, during the Junior Sale of Champions at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo on Saturday, February 5, 2022. The Steering Committee purchased Steve for a record-breaking $310,000.
