Tired of the winter weather? Check out these Bellingham indoor activities for all ages

As the last of the snow in Bellingham has melted, Whatcom County is still looking at some rough winter weather in the coming weeks, including a “monster” rain storm.

As you may be wishing you could be sipping a beer at Trackside or enjoying sunshine in Boulevard Park, we’ve put together a list of activities for adults and children that don’t require sunny days.

Indoor sports and active fun

Summit Adventure Park, an indoor trampoline park has wall climbing, slides, trampoline dodgeball, a climbing tower and many trampolines for guest to enjoy. Admission to the trampoline park costs $19.75 for a 60-minute session, $23.75 for 90 minutes, and $27.75 for 120 minutes. Safety socks for jumping also cost $4 per person. The park is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday at 4329 Meridian St. in Bellingham.

Volli Entertainment Center & Sports Bar is an indoor venue with pickleball, shuffleboard, ping pong, pool tables, mini golf, a golf simulator, darts and cornhole. Guests can pay $4.99 to access all games except pickleball, darts, the golf simulator and mini golf. Pickleball costs $11.25 per person per hour. The digital group darts game costs $25 per hour. The 9-hole blacklight mini golf course costs $10 for one round and $5 for a second round, and the golf simulator costs $45 per hour. The entertainment center is open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 4190 Cordata Parkway in Bellingham.

Vital Climbing Gym allows walk-in visitors to use their climbing walls and even take climbing classes with the purchase of a day pass. Day passes cost $21 for a single visit, $95 for a 5-day pass or $170 for a 10-day pass. Children ages 5 and older are also allowed to climb. The gym is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily and is at 1421 North State St. in Bellingham.

The Whatcom Family YMCA has indoor pools, racquetball, pickleball, basketball and squash courts, a climbing wall, gym equipment and fitness classes. Day passes are available and cost $12 for adults, seniors and students, $7 for visitors 19 and under or $25 per family. The YMCA is open from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at 1256 North State St. in Bellingham.

Park Bowl & Splitz Grill is a bowling alley, arcade and restaurant. Bowling costs $21.75 per lane per hour Wednesday through Saturday and $23.55 per 1.5 hour on Sundays. On Tuesdays, bowling is $2.25 per bowler per game. All shoe rentals cost $4.24 with tax. The bowling alley is open from noon to 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and from noon to midnight on Friday and Saturday at 4175 Meridian St. in Bellingham.

Bellingham Axe, an indoor axe throwing range, allows guests of all ages to learn how to participate. Guests can rent their own private lane which costs $22 for one hour, $31 for one and a half hours and $40 for two hours. Bellingham Axe is open from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, 5-10 p.m. Friday, 1-10 p.m. Saturday and 2-7 p.m. Sunday at 1414 Cornwall Ave. in downtown Bellingham.

Flatstick Pub is an indoor restaurant and venue that offers mini golf and other games, as well as a selection of board games to enjoy. All games are free to enjoy except mini golf, which costs $10 per person. The restaurant also serves a variety of brick oven pizzas, snacks and beer on tap. Flatstick Pub is open from 3-10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to midnight on Friday, noon to midnight on Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. on Sunday at 902 N State St. After 9 p.m., only visitors 21 years old and above are allowed inside.

Other indoor activites

The Eureka Room and Cryptid Escapes, two Bellingham escape room venues, offer visitors a variety of escape rooms to solve. Guests can choose from a murder mystery, robot resergence, spaceship or backstage rock and roll themed room. Although the recommend participants to be over the age of 10, all ages are welcome. The escape rooms usually cost between $28-$30 per person, and children 7 and under are free. Rooms must be reserved in advance online or by calling 360-626-6037. The Eureka Room is at 114 W Magnolia St., and Cryptid Escapes is at 1514 12th St. in Bellingham.

CreativiTea, a pottery painting studio and tea bar, offers a creative activity for all ages. Guests can pick out a piece of pottery, paint it how they choose and then pick it up after it is fired in the kiln. Pottery pieces range in cost between $12 to $75, which also includes all painting materials and assistance. Guests can also enjoy tea, coffee, beer, wine and other beverages and snacks while they paint. CreativiTea is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and is at 1312 11th St. in Fairhaven.

NEKO Cat Cafe is an indoor cat room that allows visitors to play with cats while enjoying a snack or beverage. Entry costs $16 per person for 45 minutes, or $35 per person for a work or study session of 2 hours and 45 minutes. All ages are welcome, but for children 12 and under there must be one adult per two children present. Tea, beer, coffee, soda, cider and hard seltzer are available, as well as cookies and Japanese snacks. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made online. NEKO Cat Cafe is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 1130 Cornwall St. in Bellingham.
