‘Tis the season of scammers

The Nov. 29 article, "Scammers Target Holiday Shoppers” by Susan Tompor was most timely for my family. My son ordered some name-brand eyedrops from Amazon. The eye drops arrived yesterday in a padded envelope, vials only, no box. When inspected closely, it was clear the label was a poor imitation of the product’s real label. Since he works in the medical industry my son knew to look for a lot number and expiration date. There were none.

Tompor's article says, "Many sites, including Amazon...run third-party marketplaces online which allow an outsider or someone who is not the manufacturer themselves to sell a popular item." How true this is!

Thank you for the perfect receipt, Albertson’s

Congratulations to Albertson's for having the "perfect" receipt. Each item you purchase shows the shelf price and, right next to it is the price you paid.

You do not have to look down the receipt to try and figure out whether your "digital deals," or other online deals were included in your final bill. Thanks!
