Tishomingo authorities looking for missing teen

Jan. 23—IUKA — The Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to locate a boy, 16, who has not been seen since Sunday.

The Tishomingo County Sheriff's Office was contacted Sunday Jan. 21 about a 16-year-old missing juvenile, Peyton Stanton. The family has been working closely with authorities.

Stanton appears to have left his residence on County Road 957 (Rock Crusher Road) in Iuka, sometime Sunday morning, probably between 10:30 and 11:30. The last confirmed sighting of Stanton was in the Selmer, Tennessee area around 1 Sunday afternoon. He is believed to have connections to Selmer, Tennessee, as well as Corinth and Jackson, Mississippi.

At the time of his disappearance, it is believed he was wearing a blue Columbia puff jacket, and red and black Jordan sneakers. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 285 pounds. He has a tattoo of an 8-ball and dice on his right forearm.
