Titans’ A.J. Brown ruled OUT for Week 2 vs. Jaguars

Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown will miss the Week 2 game versus the Jacksonville Jaguars with a knee injury, head coach Mike Vrabel confirmed after practice on Friday.

We had an idea this would happen prior to Vrabel confirming after ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the second-year wideout was in danger of missing Week 2 with a bone bruise in his knee.

Schefter also said that Brown would likely be considered week-to-week, which could be a big issue for a Titans team that is thin at the position.

Brown’s absence opens the door for more work for fellow wideouts Corey Davis, Adam Humphries and Kalif Raymond, as well as tight end Jonnu Smith.

Along with Brown, Vrabel also revealed that rookie running back Darrynton Evans would miss his second straight game with a hamstring injury.

The Titans will reveal their final injury report of the week a bit later, so we’ll know the status of the rest of the team’s players then.
