Titans, Vikings close facilities after positive tests

Just three weeks into the NFL's regular season, and the league is experiencing its first coronavirus outbreak.

The Tennessee Titans closed their facilities Tuesday after three players and five team personnel tested positive for COVID-19.

The Minnesota Vikings - who played the Titans this past Sunday - also suspended in-person club activities.

Both teams are working with the league and NFL Players Association to evaluate close contacts and perform additional testing.

The NFL, unlike the NBA and NHL, chose not to play its season in a bubble - with some teams even allowing fans.

The Titans’ outbreak marks the first for the NFL involving players since the start of the 2020 regular season.

The team is scheduled to host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday while the Vikings are slated to visit the Houston Texans.

No word yet on the impact the positive tests will have on the schedule going forward.
